Andre Roberson (who?) 2 for 17 in free throws in the series against Houston

Recommended Posts

Seriously, the fact that some NBA players are near or below 50% on free throws is disgusting. Shows less than total dedication to their craft.

Roberson.

But yes...and he's a guard. That's pitiful.

so you're saying he's so bad he spells his own last name wrong?

Dennis Rodman was a career .584

That's saying something

From those two foul shots, it looks like his form isn't that bad... Maybe it is mental...

Shaq had to have missed more at some point

it's a great question, but no way in a series? .118?

The record for a single game is 3 for 17

the pistons. lol pat

Andre Drummond was 1 for 10 (38% career)

Andre Drummond did something Wednesday night that not even DeAndre Jordan has ever accomplished.

In the Detroit Pistons’ 123-114 win over the Houston Rockets, Drummond missed 23 of his 36 free-throw attempts as he set a new NBA record for most missed free throws.

Actually not that uncommon among black single mothers with....less than substantial education, naming their kids. Look at Antawn Jamison. You know she meant it to be Antwan.

But then again that's her spelling it wrong, not him which is what you meant. But still relevant.

Free Throws aint flashy bro

I've asked this before, many years ago.

if a player could jump from behind the free throw line and dunk, would it be allowed for a free throw?

Not unless he could spring off of the rim and land back behind the line.

Also I read somewhere that Shaq had his wrist fused as a kid, so I always gave him a break on his shooting form.

But why can't he side step? Does he have to stay both feet planted? Is that the rule? If a player could side step, and even jump, long as he stayed behind the line, is that legal?

Wikipedia says it is. Why don't they take a jump shot?

Players are, however, permitted to jump while attempting the free throw, provided they do not leave the designated area at any point.[

Rick Barry method is why I would never watch the NBA again if they tried to eliminate intentional fouls.

Learn to shoot free throws however necessary. No one is going to laugh at you if you're sinking 85+% of your shots from the line
