But what if they get Steve Harvey to be the host? (note, I didn't watch the trailer, so I'm assuming it's something televised like the original)

NBA is better.

https://www.nba.com/news/nba-finals-game-7-2025-most-watched-six-years "Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers was the most-watched NBA Finals game in six years, averaging 16.4 million viewers on ABC. The game peaked with 19.3 million viewers at 9:45 p.m. ET." "The full 2025 NBA postseason (Playoffs and Finals) across ABC and ESPN averaged 6.12 million viewers per game, up 10% vs. last year."

Hawkeye said that the WNBA was getting better ratings, all my point was is that they're not. The specific number is/was irrelevant. The numbers weren't wrong though. NBA.com says they had a 6+ rating for the playoffs and that the finals was the best in 6 years. If the number was 6.7 instead of 6.2 or it was 6.1 instead of 6.3, that's irrelevant because the exact number itself isn't relevant... in that the point was it's relation to the WNBA. Even if the number 2, the WNBA only maxed out at 1.7 in 1 game, their average leaguewide is still around 1. I never argued whether the NBA's numbers were better or worse year to year. I don't even care about that as we all know the NBA has been declining in popularity since the 2020 faux racial crap.

He's arguing against a point that was never made and trying to me accountable to that point.

LOL, actually it's you that is being pissy because you jumped the gun. Hawkeye made 2 posts. I quoted one, but addressed both. In the post I didn't quote, he said the WNBA was getting better ratings than the NBA playoffs. I gave him information that showed he was wrong. You evidently wanted to call me out on that because I omitted that other post. I gave you the post where he mentioned that, and you apparently got offended by it. I mean, all you had to say was, "Ah, missed it ", and I would've replied with a "" and done. But, you needed to post historical ratings, which I never argued and wanted to say I was wrong... even though, I wasn't. I simply stated that the NBA ratings got over a 6 for the playoffs and had the highest finals in 6 years. I don't care how or why they were generated because that wasn't the point or the argument... just that the NBA playoffs were getting better ratings than the WNBA.

Then blame NBA.com I gave you the focking link. LOL

Yes, he is. -
I got the numbers from google which pulled them from the NBA.com. If you have an issue, then your issue is with google and the NBA.
-
"My" numbers aren't off. If "those" numbers are off, you only have you take that up with the NBA.

The NBA, like baseball, is all about the playoffs because of the length of the season. Same with hockey. NFL only has 17 games (18 weeks), plus 90% of the games that week are on the same day at roughly the same time, that's why they get great weekly ratings. Also, I noted the whole playoffs too, not just the finals. As mentioned as well, people aren't watching WNBA games, they're watching Caitlan Clark games. Her games got as high as a 1.7 rating, the average is 1.0. That means the non-Clark games are getting about 1.0 less than Clark. Take her out of the picture and nobody is watching.

LOL The NBA playoffs got a 6.7 rating, the finals got the highest rating in 6 years. WNBA ratings are 100% driven by Clark.

The WNBA will NEVER be independently profitable. Ever.
