  1. LOL, I'll take your word for it, I haven't been there in over 20 years.

    This economy is so bad

To be fair, this is just as much Newsom (if not more), as Biden. CA is actively pushing people away from fossil fuels.

    Doug Orth's Rookie Rankings

I have no issues with Penix, I think there's a really good chance he pans out to be a solid QB. That said, this year in a re-draft fantasy league, there is a 0% chance I rank him higher than Nix. Not happening. Even if Cousins is slow in healing and gets no snaps in pre-season (to which, I wouldn't be shocked if that happens regardless), the Falcons have no plans to play Penix this year. I wouldn't even be surprised if Cousins can't go W1, that Penix isn't even the starter.
  4. Yes they do... it's just called an "ALCS banner".
  5. I'll watch later when I have a chance, but I've always found Henry Cho to be very funny. His routine about his wife's family and his one friend (can't remember the guys name), is hilarious.
  6. Probably the only post you ever made that I genuinely laughed at... where I wasn't actually laughing at you.

    Doug Orth's Rookie Rankings

I thought the same as @nobody regarding Nix and Penix. I'm ok with your answer, but I will say that I am significantly more comfortable putting faith in Sean Payton than Raheem Morris, when it comes to developing a QB. Drew Brees / Josh Freeman is too vast to ignore. In that sense, I can't fathom a scenario where I take Penix over Nix.

Question about the WNBA vs Women's Softball

I don't think it's in either one's best interests, and I think the NBA/WNBA is proving it. Softball is growing organically on its own merit. Leave them be, they'll be fine.

Is the border crisis over? Border crossings are way down

Yeah, imagine that... Gov. Abbott ignores Biden, and because of that the illegal crossings are dropping. Right now, people like yourself will believe Biden if (when, because we know he will), says "Border Crossing is down, I did that!", but if he wins the election, he'll come after Abbott. Like a good fool, you'll applaud him. When the illegal crossings goes back up, you'll tell us how it's not a problem.

    Impressive Young Future Accomplishments

    Yeah, who saw that coming?
  11. How deep does your self hatred go? You might want to consider a shrink. Just sayin'.

    MLB 2024

That'll be someone else's problem, not the Pirates. He'll be traded by the time that comes along.

It won't be on national tv, so probably once, twice. I'm sure she'll be sitting with his parents and there's always the in-game interviews. Does that count?

Honestly, I didn't think there was much he could do down there in the first place. From a progress stand point, he was further along that Jared Jones coming into Spring Training, but for some reason, Skenes only pitched 2 innings and Jones 13. The only logical conclusion for that is that they were trying to get Skenes to fall under the Super 2. The funny thing is that the ML team literally gave them the excuse for keeping him down there, but they still brought him up. I'm just shocked, that's all. From listening to Pirates sports talk and reading local articles, Pirates fans are very reasonable on his expectations, and that's where Skenes' ears should be. Not the national media. I haven't paid too much attention to that, but the locals seem to be on the consensus opinion that W's and L's are irrelevant, because the team can't hit... that's not his problem. But, if he can post a sub 3.5 ERA with about 1 K per IP and WHIP around 1.2 or less, Pirates fans will be very encouraged. Next year is the year that Pirates fans will have higher expectations. I mean, the dude was a #1 overall pick. The pick itself sets the expectations as being an Ace. Now, he doesn't have to be a superstar, but the pick carries the expectation that he'll be the guy you count on in big games. Not much different than Caleb Williams for the Bears, or any other QB who's picked #1 overall.
