gottabesweet84 0 Posted June 16, 2006 I vote against Myfantasyleague.com I have used cbs and switched to myfantasyleague for one year once you have used cbs and try something else it's not the same. If you don't care about live scoring at all maybe it's for you, but it took 10-15 minutes to update the live scoring. sometimes games would be over and the live scoring would show it halfway through the third. I thought the Fanball live scoring was fine. Besides Live Scoring isn't what is important. It is how flexible thier system is to allow your rules to function. Will they be wiling to make considerations for your rules. Our league went from CBS to Fanball last season. I had no complaints. Didn't miss the CBS gui. First week or so, they did have a few live scoring glitches from heavy demand (kind of like this forum). But otherwise did not experience any outages. (CBS has even had those in the past) Besides, your league should always have a contengency in case of an outage. An email address, a voice mail, etc.
Let Da Big Dog Eat 40 Posted June 16, 2006 I am also a Fanball fan. Cheap and very similiar to SeeBS. That said, try the search feature. There have been at least 3-4 threads on this.

G3-175SE 0 Posted June 16, 2006 I highly recommend RTSports. I have used them for about 5 years and am very happy. I have moved all three league to RTS. The website is user friendly, the customer service is outstanding and if you have a suggestion they really do listen and make changes if it makes sense. We have a forum that we list all our wants and they read it. MyFantasyLeague is ok but I still don't like their look. It looks flashy but isn't done well IMHO. No to Fanball. I know that several people like it but I went there just this week and in their forum they listed 128 changes they (owners and commissioners) wanted. 40% of those already exist for some time at RTS, 15% of them are being done this year at RTS so I would say that RTS is ahead of them. Just my opinion.
bjlmonster 0 Posted June 16, 2006 I have been trying to move my league for a few years with no success (members liked CBS for somereason). I recently re-took the commish job and first item of business was to move to myfantasyleague.com. 1/2 the price and I used it last year in another league with zero crashes or screw ups. RoadLizard 73 Posted June 16, 2006 Well, you could be a real man and do a website yourself. This gives the ultimate in control and flexibility without putting up with all of the BS associated with those Chicken-ass web hosting services. Designing and maintaining a website has never been easier and it doisnt take much to get one rolling. For 10 bucks a year or so you can even get a cool domain name. The web hosting can be done through your Internet provider who always give you some free space to use. Just wait til the season starts, about every other post will be some dilemma or problem about Yahoo, CBS, whatever "service" people are using. Hilarious.... Freegin hilarious.... So with your suggestion, you are back to no live stats, commissioner has a ton of work to do, stats have to be entered in and checked and verified, owners have to call/email the comimsh for lineups. I don't see the point. For $40- $60 more you save yourself a sh!t load of work. I know! I used to do all that extra work in the 1900's...
smashmouths@blf 33 Posted June 16, 2006 My league is trying out fanball this year. I've heard nothing but good things about fanball and it is relatively cheap. We'll see how it goes...
greggorymac 0 Posted June 16, 2006 I know everyone is dogging CBS, but my league really loves the ability to create the frontpage articles. There's nothing better than being able to post a comprimising picture of the person your playing that week with a hilarious headline/story. This makes the week to week rivalries even better... and isn't that what Fantasy Football is all about: Being able to enjoy your favorite sport while at the same time making fun of your best friends. Does RTSsports or Myfantasyleague have this option?...I've only used Yahoo and CBS in the past.

That option is abused in our league...we've got some guys with just absolute wicked and twisted senses of humor. They are hilarious on a day to day basis with that option. larrymcirish 0 Posted June 16, 2006 Hey there peeps, I'm considering a move away from CBS Sportsline and its high price, looking for alternatives that are reliable and highly recommended... any thoughts? Many thanks. We have been on TQStats for 4 years and it seems fine. I think it's $65 per team in our 10 team league (unless my son, the commish, is pocketing part of it). But I have to admit that this is the only service we have ever used and, as a "drink beer & have fun" type of league, we may not know what we are missing. However, nobody has complained. eo11 0 Posted June 17, 2006 rtsports.com I could nto agree more with Banana here my league moved from CBS to RTSports four years ago and have loved EVERY minute of it. I HIGHLY recommend it.

We used TQStats when we first started. We are now on CBS. I think TQStats was more flexible with the scoring because we had to change our scoring when we moved. I don't remember much else about the website though because that was 4 years ago. We have IDP and we had to eliminate tackles for losses when we moved to CBS. There was one other stat, but I don't even remember anymore.
Watchdog 0 Posted July 19, 2006 The problem with fanball is that they give away the first two weeks of the regular season free. Sounds great in principle, but then their server is always overloaded and you can't get any live scoring updates until week 3. Starting week 3, everything works fine. OPur league has switched to Sportsline this year and while it's more expensive, there are some additonal features I like.
kristv 0 Posted July 19, 2006 My league uses Fanball's site, and I think it's a great alternative to CBS. We had previously used CBS for about 4 years, and were looking for something similar but less costly. Fanball costs half the price of CBS, and I actually like the site better. More stats and information for less money. It was a no-brainer for us to switch.
