Ill just be honest here and im probably being too nice. I think most here are law abiding working people. (What you people do for work to allow you to slap fight all day and repeat the same things is actually astonishing). I dont think people here are looking for free stuff. I was just curious what Lib voters actually really back with the left. I totally know squis and tim are all about virtue signaling and lgbtq stuff. Squis may be trans which is fine. If he came out and said it Id get it more. I was just wondering but I doubt ill get much back here because there is little to nothing. I truly do think these fake centrists are working decent people. I was just wondering what they would get really behind. I wasnt looking for ridicule. I honestly am wondering what is backed other than having some sort of TDS.

And he didn't confirm that Wess Roley was trans in the tweet, contrary to what was said earlier in the thread. His actual words posted with the photos are "Uh - I’m noticing something here" (which I guess must suggest that to the transphobes but that is still not a confirmation). -

Coming from the guy that just called Tony Seruga a “great American,” I’m gonna guess that Catturd is going off nothing more than a photo with long hair. That’s what happened with Colt Gray in GA, and @Horseman even claimed to have discord screenshots backing up that he was a tranny. Of course he didn’t since they don’t exist, and it turned out Gray was actually ANTI-trans -
Why are liberal Democrats hurting so badly these days?

Personally I’m doing great. The best thing about progressivism is that it always wins in the end. Thats the history of human civilization. All progressive ideas eventually win out. For every two steps backwards, we soon take 4 steps forward. For many of you reading this, your parents railed against gay marriage (or maybe you did.) Some of your grandparents argued against racial equality, and your great-grandparents were against immigrants from Ireland, Italy and China. As I write this I am very confident that your grandchildren, in turn, will be accepting of transgender changes among teenagers and treating all trans people with respect; they will not view it as a mental illness. Further your grandkids will be much more tolerant of undocumented immigrants and globalism in general. We move ever forward. -
Times are too easy and have created a generation of weak people that create problems bc there really aren’t any. Unfortunately, we need tough times to create strong people and we won’t have to deal with BLM, Pride, Trans and communism/socialism. Liberals inherently are weak minded people and that is what we are witnessing.

See I find just the opposite particularly if they’re in a role like mayor. They won’t be able to do anything about economic policies, socialism, taxation, crap like that. But they will have a big influence on stuff like gay rights, trans rights, abortion, diversity, DEI, rights for undocumented immigrants- a lot of positive stuff very important to me.

SCOTUS rules on state ban on gender transition 'treatments' for minors in landmark case

But she also said “the Supreme Court ruled that trans isn’t a protected class.” Didn’t you just say they didn’t technically “rule” that? I am by no means a Supreme Court expert. -

Brianna is right: true trans people with gender dysphoria are going to lose their medical care and legal protections because the Woke Left made trans a hipster social contagion. -

I guarantee if you polled every actual lesbian and gay person in the United States, about 90% of them would be embarrassed how the other 10% behave. And they certainly don't want to be associated with trans and queer people. They are not the same. -

We've had this discussion. Trans is a mental illness. You can call it something different if you don't like the negative connotation, but if your brain thinks you are a different sex than your body is, your brain is not working correctly. The question then becomes: what do we do about it? We seem to be as a society in a mode of "encourage it, glorify it, and provide medical ways to mutilate your body," which seems like an odd way to address a mental illness. -

No worries, this is a chat board, your contribution to chatting is welcome. However, I didn't say the court ruled Trans isn't a suspect class. I pointed to concurring opinions that indicated three of the justices feel that way. Which makes me think that Roberts joined the majority so that he could write a more restricted opinion. Had he not, a majority of the majority likely would have written a much more sweeping majority decision. -
Yup. You can be the smartest person around but if you tell me the earth is flat you are dismissed. Squishy would never tell a trans a man can’t get pregnant to their face.

Sorry to distract from your conversation @jerryskids. Here’s some analysis suggesting the “trans isn’t a protected class” stuff may not be as broad as some think: https://www.nysun.com/article/supreme-courts-decision-to-uphold-state-ban-on-medical-gender-transitions-for-minors-is-a-devastating-loss-for-transgender-people-aclu-says?member_gift=CUZ5qwd3crq4pmz-xrd Way too many words in this article but I think these were the most relevant: The court’s decision, however monumental, will not necessarily have sweeping implications for transgender-related litigation more broadly, according to a law professor at Duke University, Doriane Lambelet Coleman, the author of “On Sex And Gender: a Commonsense Approach.” She said that the court has left as an open question whether transgender people should be recognized as a protected class, for whom a higher level of legal scrutiny under the 14th Amendment is warranted. … Addressing the question of Bostock’s application outside of employment contexts, the majority found that the law “does not alter the court’s analysis.” To assess for discrimination barred by the statute, that 2020 decision applied a test in which changing the person’s sex would change the outcome of the dispute. But in the case of the Tennessee ban, the court found that this test did not, in fact, change the outcome; children would still be banned from receiving drugs for the purpose of transitioning their gender if they were the opposite sex. However, the court issued a notably restrained ruling in this context, declining to address whether Bostock’s reasoning “reaches behind the Title VII context.” This should limit the reach of this decision. “Lawyers working to secure trans rights can continue to use Bostock based reasoning where the language of the law allows it,” Ms. Coleman said. -

Yes, my comments stayed consistent. I was talking about how I was not a fan of Riley Gaines in part because her schtick is NOT just against men in women’s sports, it is against trans folks in general. Her comment about this supreme court case is yet another example of that. @TBayXXXVII tried saying “Gaines only said that trans don’t belong in women’s sports” (direct quote) which obviously is incorrect. In fact, he, not me was the one that kept changing definitions. For example when I called out Gaines for comparing sexual abuse to competing against a boy in high school softball, he started saying things like “she never said sexual abuse happens on the field of play.” -

Hey @EternalShinyAndChrome, Are you schizophrenic or something? The first two quotes are from earlier in this thread. When I suggested calling a trans person by their name, you told me to GTFO. But then in the SCOTUS thread, you said you would call them by their name even if they changed it? -
