I strongly agree with these two points. 1.) The trans community's power needs to be executed in the board room and ballot box, not through library readings and outlandish behavior at public events. We don't take our kids to go see that nonsense. It's the trans equivalent of rednecks flying the Confederate flag, getting into drunken brawls and having a wet T-shirt contest at an ATV rally. 2.) I'm sure there are transgender people who are pedophiles, but I've never heard of one. Those who cast the pedophile blanket over the trans community are ignorant, uneducated and most likely on the extreme far right. -

It's not happening.... The San Francisco Waldorf high school girls basketball team is riding a five-game win streak — thanks in large part to star player and captain Henry Hanlon. In the team’s 54-22 win over Jewish Community on Thursday, Hanlon scored a game-high 24 points. That makes four consecutive games in which Hanlon accounted for at least a third of Waldorf’s points. Impressive. But there’s one problem: According to Reduxx and ICONS, Hanlon — who has played on girls’ teams for the past three years — is male. San Francisco Waldorf Dominating Thanks To Trans-Identifying Player Hanlon, a junior, is a three-sport athlete, competing in girls basketball, volleyball and soccer. And last season, Hanlon led San Francisco Waldorf to a CIF North Coast Championship in volleyball. On the basketball court, Hanlon currently ranks 4th in California’s North Coast Section with 20.8 points per game. Julie Lane, a representative of the advocacy group Women Are Real, visited Waldorf to watch a game in person. Lane said Hanlon towered over the girls on both teams. “The boy had an obvious advantage,” Lane said. “[The girls] didn’t necessarily run their offense through him, probably because they didn’t want to be targeted. But he got most rebounds and was able to jump much higher than the girls.” Lane went on to say that the girls Hanlon faced “were at a complete disadvantage.” One team reportedly forfeited a game against Waldorf earlier this month because of the trans-identifying student. OK well before I leave abortion, I’ll just reply to your numbers above: if the issue was really 3rd-trimester abortions... why did they challenge Roe v Wade which already allowed states to block abortions in the 3rd trimester? Back to the trans panic - I think it’s going to be yet another losing issue for R’s. It is possible to get a lot of conservatives worked up about an issue because most of them watch the same very small number of news sources, the biggest and most famous being FOX. But most people in America don’t watch FOX. They aren’t upset about something that’s only affecting 1% of the population. So the anti-trans rhetoric might help in the primaries. But it’s most likely NOT going to be something independent voters care about come November 2024. It would be “common sense” to stop trying to regulate trans medical care for minors. It’s rare, it requires parental and doctor approval. I don’t see how banning it truly helps anybody.

They just don’t get it. They’re going with this tranny thing. I doubt the Trump people are stupid enough to spend a lot of time on it. If they are it will be awful for them. Far better to keep it in the dregs of the internet (like here.) And @Patented Phil completely misunderstands what happened in Virginia with Youngkin. That was parents being angry- but not with trans or any other woke issue. They were angry about Covid keeping their kids out of school prior to the vaccines. Once the kids were back in school the anger faded. Conservatives have always assumed this was about ALL the liberal issues like CRT and transgenders. But most people couldn’t tell you what CRT is and don’t give a sh!t about transgenders. -

You keep bringing up Virginia. It’s a terrible analogy for several reasons: 1. Voting for a school board or any local politician, or even a governor, has completely different priorities than voting for President. When it comes to voting for President, the issue of trannies, or any woke issue for that matter, is so far down the list of priorities that it’s usually not even mentioned. 2. You misjudge the public attitude on this issue anyhow. 60% of the public don’t want the government getting involved. That means they don’t want you making trans surgeries illegal for minors. They don’t want you making restrictions. They want you to stay the hell out of it. -

The bolded did not mean what you interpreted. By "legislate" I meant "allow" all trans in all women's spaces because of these rare anomalies. Your link states that the default for the IOC is to allow it, but that each sport governing body should evaluate each case for safety and fairness. They state that the experts in each sport should make that call. I agree with this approach. Unfortunately, since they removed the IBA, it does not appear that they had any such experts to make such evaluations, so they just stuck with the default. It would appear that their process didn't work in this case. -

Seriously, this is kind of messed up. She was born with girly parts but has boy biology, for which she likely had to take medications to suppress to compete as a woman and meet IOC biological standards. She's not a tranny, but biologically without medications tests as a man. I go back to the shallow thread about trans being a mental illness, and here we are instead arguing about the biology and anatomy. What this does is put a lot of the mental-illness perspective and and an argument to bed, because unless there is some science to the contrary, I don't believe you can think your way to hormonal and chromosomal bodily changes. Which is all the more reason to understand and be empathetic about Peefoam being a woman trapped in a man's body. Let's join together and celebrate our differences! Love wins! **HEARTS4EVER** -

I believe the shooter had a pride flag in their TikTok bio, like many kids do today as a show of support. Was born male, traditional male name, he/they pronouns. There also one hashtag of genderfluid or something that was likely a joke. He never claimed to be transitioning to female, never wore female clothing or had any other female characteristics. The trans haters will try and make every shooter a tranny since the Nashville shooting to push an anti-trans agenda. They failed again here. -
