We need to have a national conversation about the radicalization of LGBTQ youth.

Got to be trans, as the hatred and transphobia at times reaches almost demented proportions. -

He actually proved my point when he claimed that mental illness among gay men and women is less rampant that it is in the trans community. What gets hated on most here, gay men and women or trans? This place is a microcosm of hateful transphobia. Thread after thread of hate and ignorance. https://healthcare.utah.edu/healthfeed/2021/07/why-does-lgbtqia-community-suffer-poor-mental-health-higher-rates#:~:text=Transgender individuals are nearly four,harassment%2C and fear of violence. -

Trans flag, female avatar, pronouns he/they, posting in r/trans reddit page asking others what holds them back from transitioning. You're the expert, but, I call that a tranny. -

Congrats on your strawman. I never said that about LBG. It is the T community and this mass rush to transition young children which is increasing mental illness and causing a big problem The whole hate crime bs is a red herring. Gays and lesbians are far more healthy and well adjusted than trans are and they would be subjected to similar ridicule. And 98 percent of those confused kids would just discover their sexuality whether it would be gay. straight or Bi if you just let them go through puberty without transitioning them. -

0 clue why that is in a post addressing one of mine. I certainly wouldn't suggest that. Me? I would expect it to be right in line with what you posted above and that's it's the factors that I listed above that correlate with the incidents not a answer either way of trans or not trans. -

https://fairplayforwomen.com/transgender-male-criminality-sex-offences/ There are studies that show that trans women (male to female) still have the same rate of violence than their cis-gender counterparts. So, just because you're a dude taking hormones doesn't mean that your violent streak goes away. Nearly 50% of transgender female prisoners have also been convicted of at least one sexual offense. So, being trans-female doesn't seem to help r@pe stats either. Just saying. of course this study applied to individuals already in prison, but I can't imagine that the non-prison population would be different, they just haven't been caught yet. So, does being trans make you violent? Perhaps not, but it certainly doesn't make it "better." -

The biggest common factors in these types of shootings are: domestic violence/bullying, suicidal thoughts, and a fixation on the place where the shooting happened (often where #1 took place). Of course those first two are very common in the history of the trans community, so it shouldn't be a surprise there would be shooters from that community. The other factor that is more becoming more and more common is copy catting and studying other shooters. So again, it would make sense to see a rise communities with those histories. That said, that is different than people saying it's because they are trans or being trans makes them violent, which seem to be the card most of the Geek Club likes to play. -

Thanks. The police haven’t identified the shooter yet. Seems a little premature to assume he was trans, but that’s where we are now. -

Indeed. They have already used it as an opportunity to do some more trans bashing, which apparently was an attempt at humor. -
Dave Chappelle's Netflix special goes viral for blunt transgender comments
MDC replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
The OP’s article and many Geeks act like Chapelle is a free speech martyr. There are some libs bashing Dave because they don’t like the trans stuff. But he’s also just not that funny anymore and I saw that as a huge fan of his show. Both things can be true. -

BuckSwope replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
That's fair. I meant not so much that they didn't like him more, but think he's even funnier now that he's taking shots there. You are right though, it's more the left having 0 tolerance for discussion about that topic. I can't think of a more toxic topic for a comedian or speaker to address. Maybe if Chapelle was doing jokes about Israel, maybe? What I find interesting is he does a lot of jokes about them, but if you actually watch the whole special or a few of them, anybody with a brain can tell where they are coming from and it's not hatred - e.g. his story about the trans comedian. I think he has one of the best descriptions of the issue with his LGBTQ in a car bit as well. Like most things, people just rely on a 20clip online and look to get pissed off instead of actually trying to understand another POV or consume it all in context. -

Google his name and tell me how many rightie articles sing his praise. Its 95% bashing. It is quite obvious the lib bashers of him being unfunny do so over his content. If he was the exact same amount of funny right now but without trans jokes, lefties wouldn't say a word about how he has fallen off. Theyd probably flip script and say hes still as good as ever. -

For every liberal 2 cent vanity blogger roasting Chapelle there’s a rightie singing his praises because he makes fun of trans people. I’d say Dave is winning at staying relevant because he’s not doing it by being funny anymore. -

I’m a longtime fan of Chapelle dating back to his show. There are no doubt people bashing his show because they don’t like the subject matter. There are also people defending him only because they like trans jokes. But his new show is objectively not that funny. -

Haven't watched this one. But thought his last couple were solid. If it was any other comic that may be heading over the hill, no one would say anything or care. It is quite clear media and people are bashing his decline as a cloak for having a problem with his subject matter. Any other comic without trans jokes wouldn't get a mention here, in rolling stone or any other "medias". They would slowly fade into the night. So he is sorta winning. -

I watched it last night. It was just OK - definitely not Dave’s best but I laughed a few times. There were a handful of trans and disabled jokes that weren’t offensive but also not that funny. Nothing to get worked up about. Id give it a B-. -

I think Chapelle will be just fine. I watched the special the other night and laughed a bit. The stuff on trans people was on par with his other two. I thought maybe between his special and the new Gervais stand up, the handicapped community would be upset, but maybe they can take a joke better? -

Chappelle faced backlash from the left for jokes deemed 'transphobic' in his 2021 Netflix special, 'The Closer' In "The Dreamer," which debuted December 31 on the platform, Chappelle addressed the previous controversy while doubling down on his opinions about the transgender community. In one story in the special that's gone viral on social media, Chappelle recounts when he visited Jim Carrey on the set of his 1999 movie, "The Man on the Moon." Carrey employed a "method" approach to portraying real-life comedian Andy Kaufman by remaining in character at all times, and Chappelle was told by the crew to address Carrey as "Andy" when he met him. "I wanted to meet Jim Carrey and I had to pretend this n---a was Andy Kaufman all afternoon. And he was clearly Jim Carrey," he remarked. "I could look at him and I could see he was Jim Carrey. Anyway, I say all that to say that's how trans people make me feel." https://www.foxnews.com/media/dave-chappelles-netflix-special-goes-viral-blunt-transgender-comments-telling-truth -

Children are going to pay the price, Christian groups slam Mike DeWine veto of trans surgery ban. Hey those Red Team lovers, this Mike DeWine represents you, you fools. Why do we keep fighting to vote for the criminals is shocking to me, and on this board the debates for who’s side is better, no side is better what you are fighting over id who’s side isn’t as bad. Fock them all. They are on the same team, and this trash is proof. Ps please excuse my language, this is just simple prof that the governments of this country and this world are working hard to destroy not to protect. -
