Scooby 0 Posted April 28, 2005 I had to take Brown with the #1 pick, he is the only one going into the starting job without a rb already there. Looking forward for him leading my team for years to come,
Orgazmo 2 Posted April 28, 2005 Good solid choice choice. I, on the other hand, will have to depend on Suggs and Housh for awhile IF the fuhner ever sees fit to give them to me!@$#

I, on the other hand, will have to depend on Suggs and Housh for awhile IF the fuhner ever sees fit to give them to me!@$# Yeah, whats up with that.. I'm a busy, lazy cockbite? Also it's now done. Sorry guys, when it initially happened I had to wait a week for anyone to attempt a veto or whatever according to the rules. I'm busy with work and preparing for a wedding and possibly buying a house, so I flat forgot after that.
EMoney 0 Posted April 28, 2005 Nice pick. Auburn rbs are always studs in the NFL(except Brent Fullwood).

In the end I'll take the double bust gamble on a possession guy trained by Cris Carter over the Lelie-type receiver. Scoob: Since you paid so much for your move, trading Williams is a possibility. Cornerback 0 Posted May 9, 2005 I just had to have another Cleveland receiver on my squad ... I must say, I'm more than a little surprised at this pick. The Browns have a new <strike>better<strike> Quarterback. Edwards should be a starter from day one just like <strike>Winslow<strike>. The new coaching philosophy should <strike>open things up<strike> on the offense this year. My early projections for Edwards is: 3 rec, 25 yards and ⅛ TD's per game. For the year that would be: 48 rec, 400 yards and 2 TD's. Those are <strike>solid<strike> numbers, and <strike>justify<strike> picking him at 1.03. If all this doesn't fall into place, I could always trade him to Scooby for his next years 3rd round pick. I'd probably have to throw in a player or two ... He may not have lasted to #15 anyway: EMoney has Gonzo so no need there Wilzone just has Troupe - definate possibility FB just has Clark - prolly not CMT just has Witten - prolly not WCG has Bubba & LJ - prolly not OB1 has Boo and Watson - maybe
OB1 33 Posted May 9, 2005 I like the Miller pick, though I agree he might have been had a few picks later. In a 16 team league, TEs are scarce and Miller looks every bit the future stud in a good situation. I would have taken him in the unlikely event he fell to 14, but I wasn't about to trade up for him. whoisjgalt 0 Posted May 9, 2005 Wilzone makes the pick that IMO should have been made for the last few. I can see Buffy taking Miller on need. But I believe that Clayton was the BPA for the last four teams. Of course I have more confidence in Boller than some.
Wilzone 0 Posted May 9, 2005 I have needs at other positions and might have gone with Alex Smith if he was available, but I'm happy to add another WR to the mix since I don't have much depth at that position. Clayton seems like he could be pretty good and I like the fact that he'll have a solid veteran in Mason to learn from.
Cornerback 0 Posted May 10, 2005 Damn, I thought he'd make it to the second round. Then again, I also thought Ken Dorsey was a good pick. Let me add ... you f0ckers are assberets.

Farmer Bernie 0 Posted May 10, 2005 I was liking Clayton as well. However, I upgraded at WR before the draft by getting Horn at the expense of Chris Brown. So, I addressed my WR problems before the draft. That left me with only 4 RBs. I think with Shelton, I replace him pretty well. He has the best situation of the remaining RBs, although in a 1pt/reception league, he will kill me a bit there. I was looking at one other player here - so, I may be interested in trading up into the late 1st/early 2nd if anyone wants to trade down.
OB1 33 Posted May 10, 2005 I'm sort of :| about Shelton. I think he is in a good situation, but i don't see him as a future stud. In a 16 team league however, getting a RB that has a good chance to start in the next year or two is always a good move.

Farmer Bernie 0 Posted May 10, 2005 Hopefully it works out differently for Bernie. Awwwww that's sweet. Yeah I hope so too. I understand the comparisons and the doubt - I have it too. I mean, he's a real big guy for an RB. But his skills fit Carolina's offensive scheme perfectly. I think that's what put me over the edge.
Farmer Bernie 0 Posted May 10, 2005 Not to mention that every other guy at this pick is a prospect or a gamble. Shelton had the "safest" situation, imo.
