g5jamz 0 Posted October 24, 2005 We refer to this team as the "San Diego" of our league... Ponpi QB - Mark Brunell, Jake Plummer, Josh McCown RB - Edgerrin James, Ronnie Brown, Larry Johnson, Ricky Williams WR - Terrel Owens, Reggie Wayne, Joe Jurevicius, Deion Branch, Isaac Bruce* TE - Randy McMichael, Courtney Anderson D/ST - Falcons D/ST K - Jeff Wilkins This guy is super active on the WW. He was getting backup RBs everywhere and killing any looks to the WW. 12 team league...very competent group. If you find 2 members of the top 3 position on any one team (PRESEASON)...that's doing good. TO and Edgerrin fell to him. This team is 2-4. Just horrible luck. Cdub100 3,418 Posted October 24, 2005 Call me when you're the highest overall scoring team in the league, start the season 0-7, play the highest score team week-week 5 out of 13 weeks, only win 2 games all year yet score a 100 more total points then the second place guy. Then lose the toilet bowl because your entire team lays an egg so you don't even get the first pick
SamuraiCam 0 Posted October 24, 2005 Hey guys, Just thought I'd add to this topic. 10-team league, we start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, K, DEF. I got all these by taking advantage of people's poor bye week management and getting solid waiver wire picks and packaging them for upgrades. I got Moss during his bye. Just traded DD and Bell for McGahee and R. Brown then those two for JJ and Wayne. On top of this, I acquired Javon Walker before the season started. As much as I hate complaining... QB- Palmer, Collins RB- LT, McGahee, Julius Jones, Cadillac WR- Holt, R. Moss, Boldin, Wayne, Housh TE- Gonzalez, Cooley K- Graham Def- Panthers and Bills (had both at one point, but after consecutive 5-6 pt. performances had to drop them- I now play the matchup of the week) I'm in the twilight zone...every team I've played has had their highest scoring output of the season against me. Mmmm....Roethlisburgers 0 Posted October 24, 2005 Try my 2-5 team on for size (projected staters in bold): QB - Brunell, Roethlisberger RB - Holmes, Portis, T Jones, A Smith WR - Horn, Mi Clayton, R Smith, E Moulds, J Porter TE - Gates K - Brown DST - Pittsburgh I have played the highest scoring team in the league in four out of seven weeks. I have over 800 points scored against me, and no-one else has more than 600.

CantTouchThis 23 Posted October 24, 2005 Likely 1-6... C.Palmer(B.Favre, J.Delhomme) T.Jones, D.Davis(S.Davis, J.Lewis) C.Johnson, D.Mason(M.Clayon(dropped), R.Fergeson(to be dropped)) A.Crumpler L.Tynes Bills DST(Jags DST) Need 17 out of Alge tonight. Possible, but, unlikely. Alge got 15 this season, and, got 20+ last year i know, need a monster day out of him to win.

Rookie QB 0 Posted October 24, 2005 0-7 Played against top scorer last 6 weeks. Top 5 in scoring points. Team in sig. Hopefully I get #1 pick. FF sucks
sprewell43 0 Posted October 24, 2005 I love this topic. I'm 2-5 and have Priest Holmes, Moss, Owens, Hasslebeck, S Davis. Every week I leave 50-70 points on my bench. This week, Moss (thanks for the TD while on my bench), W Parker, R Brown, D Brees. And yet every week something amazing happens to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Guys getting hurt in qtr 1, guys saying they're not playing and then do. Or the WR alternating touchdown rule. When you're off cycle, you're dead. I've finally realized that ff is about 70% luck, 30%draft/pickups.

matzflava 0 Posted October 24, 2005 It is nice to vent on this topic I have Brady, Tomlinson, Edge, Harrison, Moulds and J Stevens yet somehow will be 1-6 unless C Mart lays an egg tonight. I am 2nd in the league in total points, needless to say I play the guy who blows up week in and out. This year sucks.
