Ignition Technition 0 Posted October 25, 2005 Not a starter ( yet) but Andrew Walter would be up on that list somewhere.

cbfalcon 825 Posted October 25, 2005 Have you not seen the video of Larry Allen benching 700 lbs??!!! Yeah, I know that is mostly chest, but you have to have strong arms as well.
jgcrawfish 232 Posted October 25, 2005 Have you not seen the video of Larry Allen benching 700 lbs??!!! Yeah, I know that is mostly chest, but you have to have strong arms as well. Neil O'Donnell was a QB who could bench 465 or something. Really strong arm, especially when throwing directly to Larry Brown in the Superbowl.
Blue Martini 0 Posted October 25, 2005 1. Vick 2. Farve 3. K. Collins 4. M. Bulger Bulger He weighs about 190 soaking wet doesn't he? I think Holt/Bruce catch and run so quickly that it makes it appear as thought the ball went a decent distance. 1 - Vick 2 - Favre (still) 3 - Collins
FrankRizzo 0 Posted October 25, 2005 what about that #5 guy from philly? Not this year ... watching the games the dude has lost some strength in his throw.
Cruzer 1,995 Posted October 25, 2005 Call me crazy, but I think Bledsoe ranks somewhere near the top. Granted, he might throw it to the other team, but it's humming when they intercept it.
mark32esu 18 Posted October 25, 2005 what about that #5 guy from philly? Not this year ... watching the games the dude has lost some strength in his throw. probably because of the 15 injuries he has
Dexter Manley 0 Posted October 25, 2005 on second thought I'd put Culpepper above Bulger, followed by McNabb. One of the all time strongest is probably a contest between Elway and Favre in his prime. (at least that I've seen being 29.)
Cruzer 1,995 Posted October 25, 2005 Bulger, you gatta be kidding. Obvisously Elway and Favre are on the list, but a couple others: Bradshaw, George, Doug Williams, Aikman, Moon, Marino.
BBB93005 0 Posted October 25, 2005 Anybody ever see the Brett Favre "In their own Words" Special? He went to Japan for this NFL promotion thing. And the Japanese press brought out the best Wide Receiver in Japan (I know, didn't know they had football either). Anyways they had Favre throw him some balls. It was pretty funny. The guy kept dropping them, saying Favre was hurting his hands. It was cool to watch. Bottom line, Favre's got one hell of an arm on him.

If it did, Randy Johnson couldn't throw 98 mph. Bulger has a very good arm, which is why he can hit those speedsters in stride on long bombs.
PittFootball 0 Posted October 25, 2005 I remember in a predraft workout, Boller throwing the ball through the uprights from the 50 on one knee! Of course you could argue that the question states "...in the NFL". You could also argue that Boller isn't accurate enough to split the uprights!

OD99 0 Posted October 25, 2005 This is rat's ass but Heath Shuler apparently threw the ball over 70 yards from his knees while at the combine many moons ago. insert blowjob joke here
BBB93005 0 Posted October 25, 2005 I could hurt the hands of a gay chinese reciever. What a good quote. The reason, in my post, that I say " I know, I didn't know Japan had football either" is to let you know that...sure Favre hurt the guys hands, he throws it hard. But not to be taken too seriously, since these are Japanese receivers, not NFL players. It's funny how you left that line of my post out of your sig...because then your sig wouldn't be so funny would it?
team2beat01 0 Posted October 25, 2005 What about Jay scheider he had one of the strongest arms ever.
Wayne Fontes 0 Posted October 25, 2005 Favre and Vick - tier one...finger breakers Brooks, Collins, Eli (did you see that pass Sunday?), Peyton - tier two Favre and Elway are probably the two immediately come to mind
Turf Nazi 0 Posted October 25, 2005 I was watching a Broncos - Seahawks game when I was a kid (Elway was like 25). He threw a bullet pass intended for a slanting receiver, apparently he didn't read the middle linebacker moving right in front of it, but it hit the linebacker right in the numbers. The linebacker was on his back, hurt from the bullet pass that Elway almost put through him. It was AWESOME!!!!!
bigtez62 0 Posted October 25, 2005 Boller sat on his knees at the 50 yard line (I belive thats where he was, somebody help me if Im off) and threw a football threw the goalpost. Billy Volek also has a very strong arm. And of course Favre and Culpepper.

shasha 0 Posted October 25, 2005 Jay Schroeder had a cannon. Peyton says that Eli has the stronger arm of the two. Vick may not have the absolute strongest arm, but he can toss it 65 yds with a flick of the wrist, just looks effortless. Tom Brady's arm has always been underrated. Atleast twice a game he unleashes something hellish and it is usually accurate. Of course Favre still can break anyone's fingers if he wants. Brunell's arm looks pretty strong too, maybe not top 5 or anything, but pretty good.
