Can i go on the record here and laugh at Emoney's latest pick?

;)

To each his own.

 I like the Gonzo pick very much. He was the only other guy I considered at 3.01 (rather than JJones - not rather than KJones). Of course now he'll have no RB's until at least the end of the 4th.

I'm not mocking his lack of RBs, but his taking a TE this high (even in a TE req'd league) and taking someone who is no longer the ndisputed best TE in the NFL.

However, the more I think about it, the les sinclined I am to mock him. Maybe I'm getting sick again, but it doesn't seem as laughable as I fist thought.

Mock me all you want.

No, I may have been wrong - the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced I totally undervalued Gonzo here. Not that I would have taken him, but I no longer feel confident in mocking you as a brainless MO-ron for making said pick. Thank you for your attention to this matter; please call me should you require any further clarification.

In a recent e-mail from grandpahoo after i gave him a draft update:

please mock whomever took Derrick Mason in the third round of a dynasty draft for me.

Glad I could help him out!!

Sorry for the delay. I was out playing basketball, well at least attempting to play basketball. By the way, whoisjgalt sounds like a cool guy.

You're on the list, Wilamina!@@!#

Didn't you just pick before me? Did you really think he had a chance of getting past Iceman's two picks?

jgalt remains the only guy I've talked to from fftoday. I agree, great focking guy, despite the fact that he's my fantasy football nemesis.

This will change soon, focker. It is my mission this summer to visit every bar in Baltimore until I run into you.

If you go to Porters or Ropewalk (both in Federal Hill, and one of which is within pissing distance of my house), there's about a 90% chance you'll see me.

Porters or Ropewalk

I have written those two names onto a business card and will keep it in my wallet to be used when I'm drunk and in a cab and the cabbie asks "where to?" and I have no focking clue because I'm in Baltimore and I know very little about Baltimore and then I remember about the business card and I take it out and say "Ropewalk" and he asks "are you sure about that?" and I say "yeah, why?" and he says "well, there is this really ugly focker who drinks there and scares away most customers" and then I say "yeah, fock that, just take me to that new Hustler Club instead" and then he gives me a high five.

I was set to take Shipp, but BNF grabbed him. After that I see it as a big crapshoot. There are some vets that might help me more now than K Rob, but I have this thing about sleepers and breakout players that I lock onto. If they fail the one year and I shun them the next they reach their potential when I don't have them. K Rob is still young, extremely talented, and he is in an offense with talent around him. Unlike some other first round recievers from his draft class, he has actually shown flashes of greatness.

It's a risky move, but I think it's one that will pay off.

Once Bernie picks we will see something i've never seen before drafting in FF. Three consecutive owners will make back to back picks. That should be interesting.

The Jackson picked surprised me a bit since he doesn't have a starting job, but he was the top rated RB coming out this year, and two guys from this draft are already off the board so I can't really knock it. It's a good risk for the future, and I guess it can be easily argued that Faulk misses games every year, so Jackson figures to give Wilzone at least 3 weeks of production this season. i might have waited to see if he was there in the fourth, but with three teams making back to back picks it's likely someone would have taken a shot on him.

Shipp was a solid pick here, he has the job, and has shown in the past that he can carry the load. he is also a good receiver, so that helps in this league. It's not a glamour pick, but he is young, moderately talented and has a starting job in a young offense.

I debated on Shipp before I made the Mason pick.. nice pick here!

My goal in this draft is to surprise at least half of the league with every pick I make. So far, I'm off to a good start.

I also debated over Shipp but I decided to go with a guy with much higher upside, even if I do have to wait until Faulk tears his vag!na.

Then Trade McNabb to me!!!

checking in.

Very interesting to see how different people value certain players much more than I would.

Very different in a dynasty too. I don't rank the untested rook rb's like galt and ob do apparently, but that's another interesting quirk to this league. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I'm curious, besides the rook RBs are there other picks that made you scratch your head?

There have been a few for me, just interested in a different point of view.

I totally don't get the infatuation with Shipp. It's not like he's going to all of a sudden become a TD-scoring machine after his incredible 2003 total ("incedible" in terms of badness). I can see a six TD guy getting to double digits a year later. But I can't see someone going from zero to a pretty good number. But that's just me...

What can I say, guys, Mother Nature is a beeeotch! Big giant storms the last two nights have been knocking out power since Tuesday. The power went out here last night at 8:30 and somehow fubared the inter-net at the office.

I'm home on my lunch hour to make the pick.

Let me get caught up and I'll be along shortly.
