Portis26 0 Posted March 22, 2006 Vikings. He has played in a West Coast system, he can sit behind Brad and get a fresh start... Childress may take a chance, and could be in an ideal situation. any other thoughts??

Portis26 0 Posted March 22, 2006 Makes perfect sense. Joey is obviously a great fit for a west coast offense. Glad to have your input - and I guess no one can ever get a fresh start and contribute somewhere else? It has never happened before, so what was I thinking. so... you think Joey sux and never plays in the NFL again? Or the West coast system just doesn't suit his style of play? Please elaborate on your thoughts? I'm curious to better understand the process of thinking that you had to come to this conclusion
uubeee 0 Posted March 22, 2006 teams that Joey could end up with... Baltimore Cleveland Tenn San Deigo San Deigo seems to make the most sense to me. Can sit behind Rivers and provide a backup plan.
Jienx 0 Posted March 22, 2006 I think Kansas City would be the best option by far. Top offensive line that could give him the protection he needs, a great running game, and time to sit behind Green for a season or two, learn the offense and hopefully get the chance to step in without all the pressure that he had coming in as a top pick. Think the main thing is just goin somewhere that can give him a lot of protection, cause he's not the type of QB that can make the most accurate throws under pressure. Vince44 208 Posted March 22, 2006 Joe Harrington? I don't know why anyone would want him, plus he failed in the WCO.
Zackattack 0 Posted March 22, 2006 He will tour with Elton John and be the piano man full time. What a perfect fit for him!!
Datathief 0 Posted March 22, 2006 I think the best thing for Joey would be to get out of the west coast system, get a new team, new coach, and start from scratch. That's the only hope I would have of him becomeing a legit QB. I think that hope exists but he needs a fresh start. Teams he could still get a shot with include Oakland, Green Bay, Buffalo, Cleveland, KC, Tennesee, or Baltimore. Barring Oakland, he's going to have to earn the job this time around though. stonecoldsoonerfan 0 Posted March 22, 2006 i would think that oakland would be a good place for him to qb. good receivers and a good o.l.

I do think there's hope for this guy yet, but he's gonna have to swallow a lot of pride in order to make it work.
Fumbleweed 555 Posted March 22, 2006 I don't think Detroit will release him until post-June 1st, correct? If so, it's hard to say yet where he'll land. It will depend on what happens in the draft next month obviously.

What is the deal? 1 Posted March 22, 2006 I like the idea of him going to Minny and getting revenge games against the Lions twice a year. Personally I don't think he is that bad. I think he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
