DBZFan2K 0 Posted July 12, 2006 OK, I'll stand corrected. But it proves that even if you take roids, you can improve in your range. (maybe + 10 HRs or so), but it won't automatically make you a superstar. I'll agree with that. BTW if the example you should've used to convey the message that steroids doesn't always work is this one: http://www.baseball-reference.com/a/alexama02.shtml
gocolts 300 Posted July 12, 2006 In the immortal words of stevejohnson: Don't hate the playa, hate the game! He stole that from Booker T,or should I say King of the ring Booker T.
Rybo5 0 Posted July 13, 2006 but it won't automatically make you a superstar. Of course it doesn't always work like that, but the probability is pretty damn good that it will make you better than you would have been without them. Whether you're a superstar or not, it's still illegal enhancement.
NewbieJr 541 Posted August 16, 2006 Just a little statistical update. Bonds is now batting .239 Mr. homerun champ is at 15 homers and holding. Good enough to be in a tie for 79th best in the majors. Oh, and he's earning 20 million dollars this year. Oh yeah, I forgot to add that he's 124th in RBI's. That is not a typo. One hundred and twenty-fourth. NewbieJr 541 Posted August 30, 2006 No doubt. He was a decent power hitter before he took the roids and growth hormones. He was still good for 30-35 HRs a year.Taking his age into consideration, I'd say he'll end up with 25-30 if he can stay healthy. Just quoting myself from back in April. I predicted 25-30 home runs. Come on old man....you can do it!

NewbieJr 541 Posted August 30, 2006 Bagwell was paid 19.3 million this year. Good call champ. I'm not sure I understand your point, and I'm very sure that it has nothing to do with the fact that Barry Bonds has gone from a 70 home run guy to a guy who is struggling to get to twenty.
