brinett9 0 Posted April 10, 2006 Were most Germans Christian prior to WWII? Yes. Religion plays almost no part in the Nazi ideology. Persecution of Jews was more of an ethnic thing. Given time, I think Hitler and the boys might have established a state church consistent with their belief in the 'Aryan race'. Perhaps this would have been an adaptation of Christianity. He had parkinson's disease and was hooked on pain killer injections. I'm not sure how old he was when he shot himself.... late 60's or so? I doubt he would have lived much longer than 70.
