I agree...I really hope they can get a deal done for Walker. Haven't they learned from Lelie?

When is the last time the Broncos took someone everyone had them pegged as selecting?

They won't take Jackson.

Wow. Just, wow. What does that say about Plummer?

I think Cutler needs two years on the bench to learn that system. Plummer is the guy for now.

Shanahan loves them mobile, playmaking QBs.

Sweet, Denver trade-up means I got one of the draft contest bonus picks! :(

At least it wasn't a receiver. :(

Of course its also not a player that gets them over the hump and into the Bowl.

Does anyone know what they gave up to move up?

*** Edit

Just saw it...they gave up the 68th pick (3rd round from SF)

I'm just thankful we don't have to pretend Bradlee Van Pelt is a backup QB anymore...That guy is an ass.

O can verify that I called this one back on April Fools day. I had Denver trading up to get Cutler. I had DEN getting the 12th rather the 11th (so I also had a CLE trade down).

The only one I've seen in regards to mocks. And with his mobility it makes sense.

So what do you guys think? Cutler may not affect anything for a year or two, but their biggest need was at WR and maybe RB depending on what you think of Bell and Dayne, and with the receivers in this draft, they definitely wouldn't have had an impact. I think, with the potential everyone seems to think Cutler has, this is about as good as they could have done in the 1st, IMHO.

Thoughts?

Thoughts?

Its the tried and true football saying. If you have a shot at a franchise QB, you take it.

Shannie can't draft receivers so I'm hoping they get Walker and address a pass rush with the draft. Maybe Hali? (though unlikely)

Getting a pass rush would have perhaps made more sense. With Pryce gone and without much pass rush last year even when Pryce played, that seems to be a pretty big need for a team that's not far from having a Super Bowl type roster.

Every year I want Shanny to take a chance on a DE, and every year he passes. Those available at 11 seemed like a better fit for a 3-4 than a 4-3 though, with the exception of Hali...I thought maybe he'd slide down to their 2nd round pick, but that didn't happen.

Who do you think they'll target with their 2nd pick? Stovall?

 Maybe Daniel Bullocks would be a decent value. Lynch isn't getting younger.

Fock, Denver gonna get White.

I was a big fan of White before the $hit hit the fan with him. I think he is a risky pick here, but his talent is too good to pass up. If they hit on him, their redzone offense would be unstoppable.

If they take White, I'll look to aquire Bell in every league. Fock that fat slob.

lol...I thought I read Dayne was going to be given the starting position and it was his to lose? Looks like a RBBC again this year.
