Fumbleweed 545 Posted April 30, 2006 Veterans only....... Stock Up: Curtis Martin- Team grabs two big-time offensive linemen and no one to replace Curtis. Looks like the Jets are going to give him at least one more year to carry much of the load. Very positive day in terms of the fantasy value of C-Mart. Willie Parker- Thought the Steelers might try to add a running back early, but they didn't. That leaves Parker as the guy who will likely get 15-20 carries a game in 2006. Domanick Davis- Do we really need to talk about why? His stock is soaring after today..... Tatum Bell/Ron Dayne- Looks like this is the duo that the Broncos will depend on in 2006...although one could emerge as the primary starter in the preseason. Keenan McCardell- Thought San Diego would look to add receivers, but didn't leaving McCardell as the primary WR target for another year. Aaron Brooks- No one looking over his shoulder now. He'll be given a longer leash with neither Young nor Leinart waiting in the wings. Brian Westbrook- See Willie Parker. He's going to see plenty of action this year. Donald Driver- With Walker gone, he'll be the main guy Favre depends on again for yardage down the field Chester Taylor- Huge bump up in value for Chester as Minnesota doesn't draft anyone to give him competition. Stock Down: Corey Dillon- Maybe he'll be allowed to carry much of the load in 2006 and maybe he won't. Either way, he'll be no better than a late third round redraft pick with Maroney waiting in the wings, if that. Cedrick Wilson- Not that Wilson had a ton of value anyway, but Holmes should push him for the starting job opposite Ward with little trouble. Chris Brown- Not sure if White is the answer in Nashville, but he should cut into Brown's carries some. Ashley Lelie- With Walker's arrival, Lelie will either be gone or have a much decreased role in Denver. Donovan McNabb- No weapons added. Who's Donovan supposed to throw to?? Kevin Jones- Not sure Calhoun will figure tremendously into the mix, but it does complicate the backfield in Detroit yet again. DeShaun Foster- Williams's presence makes Carolina a RBBC most likely....meaning Foster won't be a high pick come August like he might have been. Deuce McAllister- Value dropping like a rock for obvious reasons........ Kurt Warner- Will be the starter on opening day, but another high profile rookie looms on his heels, making his Draft Day selection more risky than before. There are probably more, but this was my list thus far..........
Sho Nuff 720 Posted April 30, 2006 Good list really. Drop Brown down big IMO. If Chow can get White to do what he was doing at USC...this guy could be a stud and a steal in the 2nd round. Knows the basic system already...big body and Fisher loves those types of guys. Id say though Brown's stock was not hurt as bad as Henry's (if it had any value anyway)
Fumbleweed 545 Posted April 30, 2006 Do the Titans still have Henry? I thought he was a free agent?
bigmarc27 24 Posted April 30, 2006 to add: Stock Up: Brad Johnson, actually the entire Minny offense. Marc Bulger: looks to still have the job and has some new TE weapons. Stock Down: TJ Duckett: I really believe Norwood was drafted to take over as starter next year pending results of his trial period this season.
Nichee 0 Posted April 30, 2006 how about anthony fasano to dallas? does he do anything to whitten or is he just the No. 2 man in double tight formations?
football_scooter 0 Posted April 30, 2006 McAllister's stock just hit rock bottom. RBBC from hell. Could be that they're both studs - I doubt it though.

DrJ 0 Posted April 30, 2006 Down: Dominic Rhodes, if you thought he had any value before.
uubeee 0 Posted April 30, 2006 good list. Here are some more obscure ones... 1. Edgerin James. Got Latui at G and Lienart at QB. The team isn't as bad as it originally sounded. 2. Westbrook. Justice will give some better blocking. 3. Alex Smith. At least has one target now. 4. Jake Plummer. Javon gives him a better chance than Lelie. 5. David Carr. They added a couple of OL there that look promissing. 5a. Andre Johnson. See above. If Carr isn't on his back, Andre can get the ball. 5b. Eric Moulds. See above. 6. Eli Manning. Plaxixco, Shockey, Tiki, and now add that mighty mouse moss. 7. Chad Pennington/Patrick Ramsey. 2 super blockers added to keep him vertical. 7a. Lav Coles. See above. Same as Andre. DrJ 0 Posted April 30, 2006 Up: Ben Roethlisberger - is the drafting is Heath Miller/Santonio Holmes in back to back drafts a sign that Pittsburgh may actually want to give him some weapons and open it up someday?
Wildman 0 Posted April 30, 2006 Good topic...I like Willie Reid too...underrated player that should develop.
bigmarc27 24 Posted April 30, 2006 Down: Dominic Rhodes, if you thought he had any value before. I never really thought he would get the load, but I think he's good for some points this year. I don't think Addai is starting game 1, and if he's not I theoretically think it's Rhodes' job to lose.
Orgazmo 2 Posted April 30, 2006 pending results of his trial period this season. ?que
bigmarc27 24 Posted April 30, 2006 ?que I'll assume he gets 100 carries here and there. If he does well, . If not, . Duckett sucks Dunn's contract gets really focking expensive to the point that he has to restructure of there's a 0% chance he's back.
MahSoonerz 0 Posted April 30, 2006 I imagine we can identify some young backups who got a vote of confidence today. The two that immediately come to mind are Cedric Houston and Andrew Walter.
Highway Robbery 0 Posted April 30, 2006 Down: Dominic Rhodes, if you thought he had any value before. It is an upgrade for Rhodes. There were going to take a RB, but Addai is the best scenerio for Rhodes as he is not the back Maroney and DeAngelo are.
CA_7 0 Posted April 30, 2006 4. Jake Plummer. Javon gives him a better chance than Lelie. Don't forget Shanny traded up to get his franchise QB. Plummer will be on a short leash and Walker will not be 100% right off the bat plus he is entering a new system so by time he his ready to produce it might be too late for Jake. It is an upgrade for Rhodes. There were going to take a RB, but Addai is the best scenerio for Rhodes as he is not the back Maroney and DeAngelo are. Man, there are a lot of Rhodes owners in denial this weekend

Walker helps short term but it's pretty clear he's got only a 1-2 year window.
dirtyd12 0 Posted April 30, 2006 I think Frnk Gores stock rises with no RB taken... also the addition on Vern D helps stretch the field for gore... I also heard a rumor that Barlow was going to Den for some later round picks anyone else hear that????
SmartassBoiler 0 Posted April 30, 2006 I don't see where Kevin Jones' stock should fall. Bryson will most likely be moved to FB, and Calhoun is just a 3rd down RB type that Martz likes to use. I still see KJ as a very solid 2nd RB.

He's now got two guys around who are better than he is catching the ball. That's a big part of the value in having a Martz back cause they sure don't get 300+ carries. Tusekan Raiders 0 Posted April 30, 2006 Deuce McAllister is the unluckiest man in fantasy football. He drafted on to a team with a stud RB1 and waited for that to be sorted, then he is stuck with Haslett, then blows a knee, now the team drafts another guy who will eventually be the man. Just brutal. Here's one guy who got a huge vote of confidence yesterday, Chester Taylor. There are still a few RBs left who could be starters, so not everyone is out of the woods yet. Ilov80s 0 Posted April 30, 2006 to add: Stock Up: Brad Johnson, actually the entire Minny offense. Marc Bulger: looks to still have the job and has some new TE weapons. Stock Down: TJ Duckett: I really believe Norwood was drafted to take over as starter next year pending results of his trial period this season. Norwood is small and quick back. He is more of Warrick Dunn type then a Duckett type. I think it was pretty clear TJ was never going to assume the starting role. Norwood will likely replace Dunna and TJ will stay on as the short yardage back.
Ron_Mexico 0 Posted April 30, 2006 Tom Brady UP He's got more targets to throw to. (as if he needed more)
DrJ 0 Posted April 30, 2006 It is an upgrade for Rhodes. There were going to take a RB, but Addai is the best scenerio for Rhodes as he is not the back Maroney and DeAngelo are. mtammen 0 Posted April 30, 2006 It is an upgrade for Rhodes. There were going to take a RB, but Addai is the best scenerio for Rhodes as he is not the back Maroney and DeAngelo are. Um are you kidding me? Rhodes has 3 huge problems for the Colts. 1. He can't block well, which Addai can. 2. He has been fumbling a ton. Addai fumbled 0 times in his LSU career 3. Rhodes has had big problems staying healthy because he is very small. Addai may be short but when you weight 210, you make up for it. Rhodes is in big trouble and as a Colts fan I'm thrilled. DrJ 0 Posted May 3, 2006 The stock of Drew Brees has to go up. Bush is going to command some attention from the D, and also gives him an amazing outlet out of the backfield. Could possibly play a little at WR... And of course they didn't get Leinart or Young, which was being speculated by many.
Wildman 0 Posted May 4, 2006 Aaron Brooks remains an undervalued fantasy QB for another year. No competition and arguably better receivers.
