Ravens 03 0 Posted April 30, 2006 he did refs just didn't give it to him Where were his teamates or the coach to call TO?
phillybear 366 Posted April 30, 2006 Where were his teamates or the coach to call TO? On replays, you could see other Phoenix players yelling "Timeout". Oviously, the league would prefer the Lakers advancing, so they can promote the hell out of Kobe Bryant for the next round. :tinfoilhat:
nobody 2,926 Posted April 30, 2006 Where were his teamates or the coach to call TO? His only decent teammate was on the bench
Byars41 0 Posted April 30, 2006 Where were his teamates or the coach to call TO? Diaw was in the background right next to the ref trying to get the timeout. guess he was too late. that was a great game. Odom is playing big time in this series.
jerryskids 7,173 Posted April 30, 2006 Where were his teamates or the coach to call TO? So if his team mates and coach don't call a TO, Nash sucks?

phillybear 366 Posted May 1, 2006 Yeah, because the NBA wants to hang it's hat on an athlete with a Q rating lower than John Wayne Gacy's. Kobe Bryant is more marketable than Steve Nash. And you can bet that Cleveland is going to advance with Lebron James. The NBA needs to make more of a splash in the sport consciousness of the country, and Kobe Bryant is very polarizing. People either love him or hate him, but their is an interest in him. And the NBA is tryign to make him into Michael Jordan Jr.

jerryskids 7,173 Posted May 1, 2006 Here's the thing about the Suns. They un-improved to 0-8 in one possession games for the year. That apparently is some kinda record of futility, dunno. Anyway, we can certainly "blame" the refs for a few calls or no-calls at the end, and those things contributed. But that doesn't explain that Bell brick airball layup, and it doesn't explain 0-8. The problem, not surprisingly, is the lack of a go-to guy down the stretch. The Lakers can go to Kobe. The Suns, by design, have Nash drive down and find the open guy, whoever it is. I'll take Kobe over James Jones, thank you. Amare was of course that guy and the reason the Suns had more success last year. I've watched the Suns all year and there are a lot of guys passing up shots they wouldn't have in the regular season. Since this is a Nash thread, I'll add that I don't think it is fair to blame him for this.
GobbleDog 1,014 Posted May 1, 2006 Remember when Kobe wasn't popular among the black community? I wonder how many of those haters have done a complete about face.
