davebg 0 Posted May 4, 2006 Tomorrow I fly down to Ft. Lauderdale for a bachelor party. A weekend in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL. We will literally be partying like rock stars b/c there will be rock stars in attendance. The groom's brother is the drummer in New Found Glory. I don't know yet how many of his bandmates or any of their other music buddies will be attending. I say fock the strippers and bring on the groupie MILFs who will do anything for a pic w/their kids. Get excited. Trekking into 'boken to catch the Festival, eh? It's just turned into a MASS of humanity ... I much prefer the Hoboken St. Patrick's Day ... the biggest drinking town anywhere on the map on that day. BTW, Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes are this year's main music draw ... slipping, much? Damn, I wouldn't want to even hear them on a jukebox, let alone on Washington and Newark ... BRING BACK JOAN JETT!!! (played in '97).

BRING BACK JOAN JETT!!! (played in '97). Speaking of The Derby and Hoboken ... you heard of the Hobokonite who played a few birthday numbers in a superfecta last year ... and wound up hitting it to the tune of $850, 000 , via a $1 ticket? I'm not trekking into Hoboken...I live there. And I was there for the St. Patty's Day. I drank from 7 AM to 4 AM with only a 90 minute break to smash some chick I picked up @ Goldhawk. I've seen both Southside and Joan Jett multiple times. They both pretty much rock. But unfortunately several of the Jukes are on tour with Bruce, so I'm not sure who his horn section will be. New Found Glory has some very catchy tunes. You're coming to my party tonight, right? What party???
