I never said it was solely about race. However if you don't think if Bonds was white the venom spewed against him would be significantly less then you have been living under a rock. If Barry was white, he would still be disliked and booed, but not at the level he is right now. Consciously or subconsciously alot of fans boo that much more because of his skin color.

If he were a nice guy but using roids I'd still have issues with it but there wouldn't be the same burning hatred. Steroids are bad mmmkay? I don't really have an answer for solving the problem, I just think it's ruining some of my favorite sports and that sucks.

Without question. In fact, Romo would be more hated than Bonds were he still playing. Even Bonds doesnt purposely try to hurt people, end their career etc.

The writers go a long way in deciding that. How a player treated the media goes a long way.

Factor in the fact that some writers will agree with you that all suspected steroid users be denied entry, plus the fact that he was an jerkoff to most of the media during his career, he may have a tough time getting in.

What makes Bonds "not a good person"? Maybe Barry is just like Eddie in that he is a private, quiet person who did not handle the ultra media attention very well. The intial backlash from the media, just like Eddie, turned him off and on the defensive. Barry is just on a more grand of scale because of all the records and attention.
