Wilzone 0 Posted June 7, 2004 I am around this evening probably until about 10:00 or 10:30 EST. At that point I will likely go to bed because I am tired as fock. Between now and 10:30 EST, feel free to call me on my cell if it gets to my pick. I'll check in before I go to sleep and I might PM a quick list to whoisjgalt or O or whoever if it still isn't up to my pick.
JasperisOK 0 Posted June 7, 2004 You guys can have your Green's and Garcia's, I'm thinking that Detroit may actually show some offensive prowess this year. Afterall, Harrington was 17 TDs and 22 INTs last year, which seems to be typical stats for a QB playing in his second year. Plus, he's a youngin', and that has to count for something. I like the Harrington pick. He is surrounded by some very impressive young talent. I think the odds are he will be posting very good numbers for years to come. I think I can be competitive this year so I went with the veteran. Who, suprisingly, is not that much older than Green.

bigmarc27 24 Posted June 8, 2004 I actually like the pick of MeShawn. He should be more productive under Parcells and he'll probably catch 80 balls.
Scooby 0 Posted June 8, 2004 I see O sent him emailage, but I also called Scooby using the number at the league site. Voicemail. So you called, not sure why the cell phone did not ring. Just got the message when I got home. Â Either way, I like Carr and it seems like they keep adding young talent for him/

Wilzone 0 Posted June 8, 2004 If Jon Freaking Kitna can put up top 10 QB numbers in our scoring system, then I can't wait to see what Carson Palmer can do.
Wilzone 0 Posted June 8, 2004 Also, LaMont Jordan was next on my list. He's worth a shot at this point in the draft.
The Unknown Soldier 0 Posted June 8, 2004 Keeping with my "taking talented, young players that haven't exactly proven much yet" strategy, I'll take Jordan - who will be an UFA after this season so he should either get the Jets job or hopefully another one. The Graham pick may be a homer pick, but he's young and looks great at times (disappears at others - he needs to work on not dropping passes and he'll become Brady's prime target - huge, athletic and open right over the middle). Orgazmo 2 Posted June 8, 2004 I loved watching Graham at CU. I don't know what's up with his hands lately, but I hope he gets it figured out.

The Unknown Soldier 0 Posted June 8, 2004 I loved watching Graham at CU. I don't know what's up with his hands lately, but I hope he gets it figured out. yeah - with this offense, some guys will only see the ball once or twice a game, but a big target like him would be great for Brady to spread the ball out more. The games that he's catching passes makes it look like he's unstoppable. He is very quick and strong enough to smack the defenders around. He'll get wide open and make some acrobatic leap only for the ball to just drop to the ground...

OB1 33 Posted June 8, 2004 A run of nice picks there (ya bastards ) Â Clayton was next on my list, IMHO this kid is going to be as good or better than all of the WRs in this years draft. Â I thought I had at least another round to grab Jordan as a homer pick. He has shown flashes when he gets PT, and gets quite a few goaline carries. Should CMart miss any time, this will be a great pick this year, and he should be seeing more touches next year no matter where he goes. Â Palmer was up there on my list too, but a 2nd QB wasn't really where I wanted to go anyway. Young top overall pick with a starting job and nice weapons around him. Looks like a solid choice to me. After Clayton was taken, he may or may not have slipped by me. Clayton was my no brainer pick, after he left the board, it got real fuzzy for me.  I think you pulled the trigger at the right time. OB1 33 Posted June 8, 2004 Psyched to get Calico here! He is tall and fast, and showed some great flashes last year. With McCarreins in NY he will get a ton more catches this year, and I see him supplanting Bennett as the #2 option by next year if not the end of this year. Â Also, BitterNavalfraftfocker e-mailed me, galt, and others that he was getting on a plane and wouldn't be available until at least 2:15PM EST. Â No picks, just letting us know he wouldn't be around. Anyway, the draft is obviously stalled until then, so go get some work done!!!

The Unknown Soldier 0 Posted June 8, 2004 I like Branch a lot, but I wouldn't want to be the one trying to predict which week he'll be the guy Brady gets the ball to. Â My thoughts as well. I could live with that from my TE position, which is why I took Graham instead. Branch is a very quick wr that runs good routes and has good hands. I see him as the Troy Brown of the future for this team. Branch won't go long as often as others will, but he'll catch more balls than the others and get his yards. Just depends on which week we're talking about.
ICEMAN 44 Posted June 8, 2004 I was really torn between Branch and Calico. I think both of these guys have real bright futures. I just think that Branch has a better opportunity to see the ball this season than Calico does. Troy Brown has resigned with the Pats and there are a boatload of hands to get the ball into in NE, but I believe that Branch will become more of Option #1 in the passing game in NE this year. The kid has shown some great flashes, but needs to work on his consistancy. I think that he finds that consistancy this year and really breaks out.
