VikesNation 0 Posted August 3, 2006 Are there workshops for not being a nancy?
Red White and Blue 81 Posted August 3, 2006 Are there any stories you've written that are already out there, that have already been linked here, that you wouldn't mind re-linking to? No - I had a really old and admittedly sucktastic one online under my own name for awhile and took it down. I have a few others under a pen name. There are a bunch of articles I wrote online. I guess you could dig them up if you really wanted to read movie reviews and articles on healthcare.

Red White and Blue 81 Posted August 3, 2006 It's just a pattern I see. I bet your stories suck ass. Some of them do. I've had a few of them published, including two in print mags, so they can't be ALL bad.
D_House 0 Posted August 3, 2006 i MDC too you guys! i also wanna see his stories.... NOW!
shovelheadt 71 Posted August 3, 2006 I think he wore mascara to a Cure concert once, but it's not an every day occurance. Also I think he's a writer and the short story I read was horrific. Also he cashed in his 401K to pay off a credit card. How one could know so much about another on this board is a tad scary.

Two mags, huh? I bet you are even lying about that. You make statements about this and that and NEVER have I seen one shread of evidence of anything.

I can't dig them up because I don't keep track of "real names," etc. Unless you want to link to it/make it available, I don't really want to dig for it anyhow -- sort of feels like prying. shovelheadt 71 Posted August 3, 2006 Because when I submit something to a workshop it's for review, and when I send something for publication it's for publication. What would I get out of sending something here, other than immediate scorn? I wouldn't scorn you. I might offer some constructive critiques, but I'm a tad interested in what all the hub bub is about. Email me and I'll send you a link, prolly not today but tomorrow. I have a sort of regular movie column that's not bad. Like I said, it's not Faulkner but it's well-written and fun to write. I am well aware there is no discernable difference between posting and exchanging e-mails, but I am just pretty much a privacy nut. Go figure. Thanks anyhow, though – the offer was appreciated. parrot 789 Posted August 3, 2006 Let's see, so far in this thread Toro has banged on MDC for being a welcher, being oversensitive to criticism, having a suck-ass new handle, and having no credibility. The ole pot/kettle gauge is red-lining hard right about now.
