Skinny_Bastard 157 Posted August 23, 2006 My league is $1000 dollars. It started out as 50 bucks 15 years ago. When i got on board it was at 200. Over the years it had steadily climb. Alot of the guys were heavy gamblers, but now with Fantasy Football and the $12,000 dollar prize that's all they do. The best part is, at the end of the season we have a huge gathering at a local bar and the winner pays the bill. Some owners will try to eat and drink their 1 Grand back. LOL! However, I did tell my wife I'd give her $2000 to go shopping with and I was gonna get in the WCOFF (about 1650 I think) and I think she liked that idea! One league I'm in its $25 and we are increasing to $30 this year. One guy is making a stint about it and said that this better be the last increase ever or he will quit. I would figure that evn if you spread some of the cash out, first place would take in at least half or more... Our league is a $200, 14-teamer. First place (Super Bowl winner) is roughly $1400 (half of the total $2800), but we also offer cash for total points, a small playoff bonus for each team that makes the playoffs, cash for each division winner (x2), and a small Super Bowl runner-up award. One team won everything he possibly could last year (Super Bowl, playoff bonus, total points, one division champ) and pocketed over $2000. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
