Q.Lazzarus 0 Posted August 25, 2006 I didn't think that there was anyone here that not only digs but is well versed in extreme metal.  I heard a new track and it doesn't sound like the drums are mixed as far back as Leviathan, so the new album will crush!  Alright, I have one more for you may not know that I recently got in to and can not stop listening to: Behemoth   I'm not in to black metal as much, although there are some that I like, such as Goatwhore, Sunn o))), Satyricon etc. If you're really in to the dark stuff, check out:  Leviathan-Tentacles of Whorror  Twilight-Twilight  Pure lo-fi black metal. I don't like it, but to each his own I guess.

gratefulted 14 Posted August 25, 2006 Wow! I didn't think anybody else had ever heard of that song or band. Crawler, I just put this on a CD last week. Also from the same Tommy Bolin album, "Post Toasties". Us old guys rock! While at the wherehouse (local record store) sometime in the mid '70's They were giving away this mini record with that Crawler tune on it (Blacl Betty by Ram Jam was also on it), after listening to it I went back and bought that album, every song on it was good. "Shake the Devil" was another good tune from that Bolin album.

Some pretty good guests on that record too. Jan Hammer, David Sanborn and Phil Collins.  "The Grind" is killer.
