ten underrated songs you think people should listen to

Recommended Posts

I didn't think that there was anyone here that not only digs but is well versed in extreme metal. :first:

I heard a new track and it doesn't sound like the drums are mixed as far back as Leviathan, so the new album will crush!

Alright, I have one more for you may not know that I recently got in to and can not stop listening to: Behemoth

I'm not in to black metal as much, although there are some that I like, such as Goatwhore, Sunn o))), Satyricon etc. If you're really in to the dark stuff, check out:

Leviathan-Tentacles of Whorror

Twilight-Twilight

Pure lo-fi black metal. I don't like it, but to each his own I guess.

Stone Cold Sober - Crawler

Bustin' Out for Rosey - Tommy Bolin

Wow! I didn't think anybody else had ever heard of that song or band. Crawler, I just put this on a CD last week.

Also from the same Tommy Bolin album, "Post Toasties". Us old guys rock!

If you like Bolin's Private Eyes album, you will really like his first solo album, Teaser.

Private Eyes = Really good

Teaser = Greta

While at the wherehouse (local record store) sometime in the mid '70's They were giving away this mini record with that Crawler tune on it (Blacl Betty by Ram Jam was also on it), after listening to it I went back and bought that album, every song on it was good.

"Shake the Devil" was another good tune from that Bolin album.

It's a great album. Some pretty good guests on that record too. Jan Hammer, David Sanborn and Phil Collins.

"The Grind" is killer.

Is Bob Schneider nationwide? I thought he was just an Austin guy. I am kinda out of the current music scene except locally.

Um. Musicians tour.

Also, I am located in Austin. You should check out his current Monday shows at the Saxon. He's still a bad ass and a great entertainer.

Yeah. He plays in Minneapolis several times a year. He's been opening for the Dixie Chicks on their current tour, too.

Hey FutbolJugador, are you familiar with Nanci Griffith? I know she's from the Austin area.

I've asked someone this before. I apologize if it was you and you already answered me.

What's Um and Musicians tour?

Seen him at Saxon. Joe Rockhead days were just fun and unique.

I am located lots of places, live in Austin though.

You from California or Europe or something?
