GutterBoy 2,896 Posted September 11, 2006 Halloween, kids knocking on my door looking for candy No paid holidays LEAVES!! If you don't like Halloween, just leave for the night. You're poor anyway. You live in an apt, you don't pick up leaves.
Juniper 0 Posted September 11, 2006 * It starts getting cold at night. * Summer is over. * Raking leaves. * NFL football isn't fresh or urgent enough. * Putting up storm doors and windows. * Fewer outdoor festivals. * Everything starts to die. * Heating bills increase. * Beaches close. * Camping is uncomfortable. * The kids are back in school. * Too cold to swim and not enough snow to ski. * NHL and NBA pre-season and regular season games are pointless. * NCAA hoops hasn't started. * MLB playoff games in the Northeast are played at night in crappy weather. * Too much of a lull between summer vacation and the holidays. * Girls start bundling up again. * I don't pay any attention to high school or NCAA football. Fall sucks.
mighty_thor 115 Posted September 11, 2006 Halloween, kids knocking on my door looking for candy No paid holidays LEAVES!! I never had too many halloween night kids coming to my place when i lived in an apartment. I guess they figure if you are too poor to afford a house then you can't afford candy. No holidays? Convert to judiasm, i think they have a holiday in that month. Or move to Canada..they have thanksgiving then. Leaves? I got messicans that pick them up when they do their weekly lawn mowing. they do a fall cleaning (trimming out perreneals, cleaning out gutters, etc.,) towards the end of october as well. I guess only homeowners know the value of a messican.

Jessy 0 Posted September 11, 2006 Halloween, kids knocking on my door looking for candy Now that I'm in a fourplex and have my own door, I'm hoping I get trick-or-treaters. I guess it's a novelty for me, having grown up on a farm and lived in dorms/apartment buildings since.
jerryskids 5,821 Posted September 11, 2006 October ROCKS!!! The monsoon weather finally breaks here and fall begins, which in Phoenix means 70's/80's beautiful weather. Best month of the year.
