i agree. this isn't the Vet. the crazy fans will be up top and there will be tons and tons of extra security. all this hoopla has nothing to do with the actual game. imo, the actual game will come down to the Eagles D getting pressure on Bledsoe. if they do then Bledsoe will make mistakes, if not TO and Glenn are going to make big plays.

 I pity the fool who gets in Donovan's way!

Donovan will continue his roll and crush the cowgirls.

T.O. will be mocked, ridiculed, and taunted... (and that's from the guys on his own team)

:pointstosky: I pity the fool that comes back to Philly after leaving such a mess!!

:Mr-T: Quit yo jibba-jabba!

Philly's got entirely too many injuries here. I don't see a blow-out but Dallas should win just because Philly is hurting so bad on both sides of the ball.

Dallas 24, Philly 20

Philly fans have shown their lack of class many times over and will do it again. They may not throw batteries or pill bottles or beer bottles but there will be the OD chants and the signs like "Better luck next time TO" and crap like that. The way they treated Michael Irvin (and I can't stand Irvin) or mocking Jurevicious after his child died is repulsive. I'll readily admit that it's not all Philly fans, but there's enough bad ones that we talk about it. Pathetic.

Unfortunately when Dallas scores early and often because the D is banged up, and because the O will have trouble scoring because they are banged up, the crowd will be taken right out of the game

I hope I'm wrong though and their beer muscles will keep them going throughout.

My question is how many bottles of pills will be thrown on the Dallas sideline during the game?

Also i'm hoping to see a Philly fan dressed as a white pill holding a sign saying T.O.SWALLOWS.

what will Joe Buck say then?

Fox should never let a sign like that make the air....

Wow, couldn't handle some honest discussion could you? Pretty sad. No wonder Cowboy fans have such a bad rap and everybody hates you guys. You really make it hard on good Cowboy fans like Cruzer and texasmouth to maintain and uphold some dignity and respect when they discuss issues that are relevant.

Actually there have been many smiles in my threads, I'm pleased that the Eagles have dominated their competition as of late.

Just worried about this game coming up. We'll see.

On a side note, for the last two seasons when the Iggles were on their high and mighty train there were plenty of Iggles fans like Eagles Green, MDC and Yoda the Pug (could be wrong) and others that spewed high levels of Cowboys hate filled venom.

Now that the birds wings are broken and they are all hurt, some want a truce...and others are nowhere to be found.

reality called. wanted to tell you that the cowboys didnt do sh!t either last year, and that so far this year the eagles have a better record. so who's asking for a truce?

now onto grown up talk. where this game will be decided will be on the cowboys o-line. if the eagles can get the pressure in bledsoe's face all day long, i see an eagles victory. if the eagles cant get to bledsoe and he has all the time in the world to throw, and with the entire eagles secondary dinged up, it could get really ugly really fast. the eagles secondary, even though they are hurting, has been very dissapointing so far this year

also, if westbrook doesnt play, i dont give the eagles much of a chance in this game.

its still too early to make a prediction due to the injury situation.

on a side note, i have a strong feeling that this will be a game that people look back at in 20 years and say "remember that game when the eagles fans ______ TO?" wouldnt be surprised if this gave preceeds the santa snowball thing 50 years ago. because honestly, they can beef up security all they want, but i have a feeling that if a security guard happens to notice someone chucking batteries in TO's direction, they'll probaly just turn a blind eye to it. they hate him too. add in the fact that this is going to be a 4 pm game, that just gives eagles fans another 3 hours to get even more drunk.

something tells me that this wont be a pretty site.

i cant wait for this game

Tell you two other things that worry me:

* we are leading the league in yards given up on first down - something like 6.something a pop. That chit ain't gunna fly against the birds, Westy or not. if mcnabb operating from 2nd and short all day long - lights out for us.

* vanderclank - is there a dallas fan out there who trusts this fock not to make a kick when it matters?

In all honesty, you need to grow the fock up.

Some of us here are discussing the game on it's merits; two good teams in an important division battle.

You want to bring up past history with 3 posters who aren't on this thread, that's fine. BUT BRING IT UP WITH THEM, NOT THE REST OF THE ADULTS DISCUSSING THE GAME.

Posters like you really make me think that Cowboy fans are retarded. I know that's not the case, because I've been to Dallas, and for the most part, real Cowboy fans in Texas are very cool.

It's the rest of you so-called Cowboy fans who live elsewhere that give the fan base a bad name (like the few drunken Eagle fans).

Good points. McNabb, I think, is leading the league in yards per pass. However, I throw that stat out the window for the simple fact that this week, he's playing against a 3-4 defense. He has yet to produce a good game against the 3-4.

One thing that bothers me about the game is that opponents have been able to hit underneath and crossing routes on the Eagles defense. I think they'll play alot of cover two this weekend, not blitz as much, and let the front four generate QB pressure. I can see TO catching alot of slants and crossing routes if that's the case.

I didn't think they were about me, because I don't dislike Dallas anymore than any other team. I get that it's a huge rivalry for some, but in reality this kind of dates back to a while ago, even back to the Buddy Ryan days. There has been something missing in the recent past about this rivalry, at least for me. To me it's just a division rival game, which in it's own right is pretty important game of course, but I think the Eagles-Giants games have taken on more impact lately, than the Eagles-Cowboys had back when.

good point on the underneath 5 yard route call. the game against the packers on monday favre had that open all game. 3 step drop then throw. these quick passes were the only reason why green bay even moved the ball in the first half. eagles can let the cowboy receivers get these balls, because glenn and TO will break one for a huge gain if enough opportunites come along.

also, terry glenn scares the sh!t out of me in this game. screw TO, he hasn't done sh!t except drop TD's and run his mouth. If the eagles lose its gonna be because of glenn, not TO

Not all game. They made adjustments at half and shut this down in the 2nd half, batting away something like 3 balls and almost intercepting at least 2. Once the Pack realized that an INT doing that would go for a TD they had to stop. But you're right, that's how they moved the ball in the first half.

i guess i should have worded myself better. its was mainly in the first half. but i really think the reason why the pack didnt do it more in the 2nd half was because they were down buy alot, especially in the 4th. those 5-6 yrd passes were useless by then. but yeah they did make some changes, which showed on their first interception, because the eagles were all over that guy immediately, which is why he popped it up for the int

As a long time Cowboys fan, I only hate the 49ers. I do not hate the Eagles, Redskins, Giants or Stillers (supposed AFC rivals) organizations or their fans. Shoot, I have McNabb on my FF team. in my $$$ league...you think that I will not be rooting for him? And Garrison Hearst was the only forty-whiner that I drafted. And I love the Bills. :first: To me the games against the Redskins were/are the true rivalry wars, not the games against the others in the division. The Skins have huge followings all over the country and it has been that way for decades. The same with us. During the 1-15 season, we knocked off an undefeated Redskins team. And then there were the occaisional Cowboys and "Indians" Thanksgiving games too which added to the feel of the rivalry. A couple of seasons ago we made it a habit of going into Washington and coming out with a "W" regardless of our poor regular season or division records at the time.

But the Eagles always seemed to get the best of us rgardless of the seasons or the situations. Deuce rushing for 200 yards IN DALLAS. Mcnabb throwing what Aikman called the best pass that he has ever seen (a completion for 70 yards) on MNF IN DALLAS. MI's career ending on the turf at the Vet. The moments are many for Eagles fans when it comes to our series of games. That is why the games during the last couple of seasons when Dallas managed to win, came as a big surprise to me. Yall have always owned us. I am a realist and I have no problem with saying that. But things could be changing after the last couple of games...we shall see.

IF Dallas struggles and only wins by 3 points or 7 points then they still have much work to do, which is understandable with trying to integrate TO into their offense. They will also have work to do mentally if they do not take it to the team that is the class of the NFC East right now. But, if they come out and blow the Eagles out by 14 points or more, then this should carry over in generating momentum that they should be able to ride into the meat of the schedule and maybe into the playoffs.

Round II of this heavy weight fight will take place on CHRISTMAS DAY in DALLAS. IF the Eagles lose round I this week, I am willing to bet the house that they will not win in December in Big D. This game should have a ton of playoff implications already.

Dallas 24

Philly 17

:headbanger:

If Brown, Stallworth, Westbrook and LJ were all 100%...then I would have been 99% sure that Philly would post a W. But you know what they say...after game #1 nobody is 100%!

It's not so much the Eagles getting dinked and dunked, but it's the fact that's what the Eagle's defense was willing to give up. Favre basically was taking what the Eagle's defense was giving them. You didn't see Dawkins playing anywhere near the LOS b/c they played a cover two to help the corners (which is why virtually all the deeper balls were to the sidelines).

If Lito is healthy, I think Dallas gets a heavy dose of Dawkins in or near the box. If the Eagles are forced to play Hanson for any portion of time, you will see Dawkins and Lewis back exclusively in a cover 2 role.

I can pretty much guarantee you Parcell's comes out and tries to run the ball. As a veteran coach, he knows full well he needs to take the crowd out of the game, and needs to establish an advantage at the LOS and with field position, especially with the possibility of the Eagles not having Westbrook/Stallworth/Brown.

One other thing I want to point out is the importance of McNabb and the play action pass. My long term beef has always been the half azz play action of McNabb. No one's buying the handoff attempt when he's 2 yards away from the back. I would love, LOVE, to see McNabb make a better effort at selling the run and freezing the LBs and safeties, especially Roy Williams.

i've always felt that way about the play action and mcnabb. its bad enough that most defenses dont bite on the eagles play action (because last year they passed 70% of the time) but also the fact is that mcnabb made no attempt to sell it. i thought that mcnabb finally corrected it during the 1st game asgainst the texans on that pretty playaction to stallworth for the td. he sold that play really well, ducking the ball behind his back.

honestly, i wish mcnabb watched more of how peyton hides the ball in his play action mechanics and learns something from it. peyton hands down hides it better then anyone else in the league

stop being stupid

yes, mcnabb has been doing real well, but it doesnt mean he can improve in other areas of his game to become yet an even better player then he already is.

example: when michael jordan first retired, he was already the best player in the game. but when he came back, he was better then he ever was, because he decided not to rest on his laurels, and he developed one hell of a turnaround jump shot. thus he became an even better player.

Oddly enough, we haven't, at least not since 1980. I guess it just feels like you always win or we always win because we're so passionate. Since 1980 the Eagles record against Dallas is 26-25. There have been eleven times we split the season, seven times we've won both games and seven times we've lost both games. I think what really gets Eagle fans is that twice, in the early 90's, we lost to Dallas in the divisional playoffs.

Mcnabb throwing what Aikman called the best pass that he has ever seen (a completion for 70 yards) on MNF IN DALLAS.

I remember that game. With McNabb running around like crazy I think the play took 17 seconds.

yea, this series has gone back and forth the past 20 years or so. and this for sure i know - we certainly had our run during the 90's and emmitt absolutely feasted on the birds. but in that short period from 89'-91' or so, the iggles absolutely beat the hell out of us and especially aikman. no team stomped on his ass like the birds, that unit with jerome brown up front was just brutal.

For the life of me I could never understand why QBs don't work on this aspect of the game more.

Manning is the king at play action. Plummer and Brady sell it really well, too.

Especially with Westbrook in the backfield, good play action will really help suck in the safeties and keep LBs at bay.

In that first game when McNabb sold that play action pass, I jumped for joy and let out a Hallelujah, only to see him revert back to the same ole ways. :pointstosky:

The most frustrating team in Birds' history. For the life of me I can never understand why folks in this town love Buddy Ryan when he's solely responsible for that team not winning at least on Super Bowl trophy.

I can still remember it like yesterday: Eagles home playoff game against the Rams. Just got home on semester break from school, spending all of my money (in college, everyone is broke) to scalp tickets for that game. Focking Flipper Focking Anderson catches a few TDs from Jim Everitt, Buddy's team can't score on offense. Game was prolly even more frustrating than the Fog Bowl game versus the Bears.

The rivalry is fun with true Cowboy fans (the ones from Texas). I can tell you that Eagle fans hate, loathe, despise, the Cowboy fans who don't live in Texas, who became fans in the 90's, and the ones who kinda went away when the Cowboys had some down times.

I've been to Dallas a few times, and the folks down there are nice people. I can remember being consoled by a few workers at DFW a few days after the Eagles lost the SB to New England.

:D to the real Cowboy fans, and fock the rest. :dunno:

I have been in the mix since Landry roamed the sidelines. Since our QB was a dodger. Before one of our punters became a QB. Before one of our WRs quaked. Before the other 88 caught TD passes. Before one of our linemen became a boxer. Before we had a RB who had TD as his initials who broke off one of the longest runs in NFL history. Before we went 1-15 and were not shown on television on Sundays.

Check all of the Eagles fans that live outside of Philly too. I guess that you cannot be a real fan, if you do not live within an NFL franchise's metropolitan area....can you see the Iggles' stadium from your window at night?

D0uchebag, I'm talking about the Cowboys fans who live in Atlanta, Philly, etc. The same ones who jumped the bandwagon back in the 90's. Prolly the same one who loved the Hurricanes in the 80's, the Hoyas during the Thompson/Ewing era, dingleberry Notre Dame football fans, etc, etc, etc.

There are alot of Philly fans dispersed throughout the US that still remain fans. Can't really say that about Dallas because it's a transient city (people who live in DFW tend to be from somewhere else).

You may be a "real" fan, but it doesn't completely dismiss you from being a ###### tester.

your biased post makes NO sense! Philly fans are dispersed throughout the US, but Dallas fans cannot be? I know Eagles fans that live and work in Jersey! I guess that they should like the Giants or the Jets.

There are bandwagon fans of all teams in all sports. The Cowboys fans that call themselves Cowboys fans today are true fans to me. When is the last time that they have been to the bowl? Now that the birds wings are broken and they are all hurt, some want a truce...and others are nowhere to be found.

awwww here little birdie, birdie....

NEVAH!@#$%^&*

my shots were not necessarily aimed at you, but at SOME of the others...and they know who they are....

I'm a night poster and I barely post anywhere, but I've been talking about the Iggles on the Geek Bored every week and posted my perdiction there. Unfortunately, I think the Eagles are too banged up right now to win the game, but McNabb will keep it close and I don't see Owens having a huge game - his fragile little ego will crumble the first time he drops a pass or Bledsoe overthrows him. Still, the Eagles secondary is in bad shape and without Stallworth and Brown hurt it will be tough, so I'll pick the Cowboys 27-20.

Even so, the Dall-Ass Cowboys are a disgrace. For years you guys rooted for a bunch of crackheads and male prostitutes and guys like Rep. Foley, your owner has had so many face surgeries he looks like an old drag queen and Bill Parcells has boobs. The Cowgirls won't win a Super Bowl this year and the best part is Parcells is close to retirement and he built the offense around old guys so once he quits they'll turn into the post-Tuna Jets. Dallas sucks, the entire state of Texor is full of rednecks, pedophiles and inbreeds, and the Cowboys are an embaressment and a disgrace to everyone, and they only ever won a Super Bowl because there was no salary cap and half their team was jacked up on crack at all times.

HTH! :P

You know what would be funny though? The crowd is full of people dressed like pill bottles with big pill signs and in the first quarter Owens drops a few and the "OD! OD!" chants start coming up, McNabb makes the Cowgirls' defense look silly and Philly coasts to a big lead, then in the 4th quarter Dallas is out of it and Bledsoe starts overthrowing Owens and TO throws a fit on national TV, screaming at the QB and the coach on the sideline and totally disgraces Dall-Ass.

That would be great. :bench:

Wow, couldn't handle some honest discussion could you? Pretty sad. No wonder Cowboy fans have such a bad rap and everybody hates you guys. You really make it hard on good Cowboy fans like Cruzer and texasmouth to maintain and uphold some dignity and respect when they discuss issues that are relevant.

Actually there have been many smiles in my threads, I'm pleased that the Eagles have dominated their competition as of late.

Just worried about this game coming up. We'll see.

The Eagles fans are the worst on the planet. No one is hated more than Eagles fans. no one.

Any time some one brings up the great history that is the Cowboys you cry with all this BS. Maybe if the Eagles had some history you could throw that in our face but you cant.

You know what would be even funnier...if the crowd is full of people dressed like Lombardi Trophies...LMAO. now that's a sight you NEVER will see in eaGAL land!

STUPIDITY...Quiters never win...Winners never quit...but those who never win AND never quit are idiots...Definition of an eaGAL fan

Eagles SUCK, Eagle Fans Suck, the City Sucks, You Suck, your qb sucks and mcCHOKES, and the Women are FUGLY!!!

One Man BROKE the eaGALS last year and now he's coming back to FINISH the job!!!!

GO COWBOYS  :headbanger: :pointstosky:

The Eagles do have great history and a number of Championships. We just like to discuss the here and now, and not always look to the past to keep us comforted

Right on Brother...Cowboy fan since 1970...Jersey Guy like Bill :dunno:

Okay, I'll give you props for following your team for a long time.

But, you know exactly what I'm talking about regarding phony azz Cowboy fans. There are plenty of them in the Philly area, and it seems as if they popped up during the 90's. There the same ones who do the Harry Houdini during the season when the Cowboys would fold, yet the first to start talking sh!t at a sports bar or at a game when the team was playing well. Ask them if they've ever been to Dallas, or have been to a game in Irving and they'll tell you "not yet, but I would love to", as in "i'll go to a game if someone mailed me tickets and if the plane picked me up at my front door".

So  to you.
