Justy2 0 Posted October 17, 2006 Ah well... Its over... Truly the Cards won this game. The refs blew it as usual. Forward progress my ass. At least game shows that the Bears are mortal. They are not the 85 Bears. They will not run the table. And... I think I did win my game! Thanks to BOLDIN!!! woot. 12 point lead +12 Boldin -20 Points Chicago (ChiD, Berrian, Jones) = +
BMoney 0 Posted October 17, 2006 i think the cards are going to roll this field out of the stadium and send it to Mexico.... start on a new field next week. rackers is to blame..but so is the cards offense...all they needed was a roll out and quick 2 yard pass... who on the sideline thinks a run is a good idea?... i never take a d early but drafted the bears in the 4th round..i knew i could steal guys like brees later on.. and its paying off... 4-2...high points again... natomasb 0 Posted October 17, 2006 That was fun even though I got trounced by Boldin and Rackers to my Grossman. yeah, It was a hecka fun game. The Bears defense pulled out a tie for me. And I was glad to get it. Heck, if they have MNF games like this every week, I'll be calling in sick on Tuesday for the rest of the season.
R8RMick 242 Posted October 17, 2006 rackers is to blame..but so is the cards offense...all they needed was a roll out and quick 2 yard pass... who on the sideline thinks a run is a good idea?... Green coached one helluva game, even showed the rest of the league how to beat Chicago (neutralize the rush by isolating the corners with quick slants and passes.) I can't believe they didn't go play-action at least once down there at the end, and take a shot at the end-zone. Even with a sack Rackers still has a 48 yarder. Urlacher played his arse off. It's still hard to picture him as the same guy the Bus poster-ized by running over him in the snow last year.
CheeseAndWhine 0 Posted October 17, 2006 Arizona called plays like they didn't want to lose, and so they deservedly lost. You can't throw one pass over the middle to Boldin to get a first down and get your kicker a shorter game-winner? Lame.

Yer mom 2 Posted October 17, 2006 Seriously Mackgee...on my scorercard you get the credit for that win. Ill give it to you....thats a horrible way to lose, a fairly easy field goal. now bring your @ss to the wagering thread if you seriously have skills like that!!! Tusekan Raiders 0 Posted October 17, 2006 Well bring it on Mackgee bashers. I ain't scared........... Not really much to bash you on. The Cards kicked the Bears ass in the first half. They made the stops they had to and made some huge plays on defense and special teams in the second half, but Arizona choked huge and whoever was on the losing end of that strip call would have a case to debate it. I just want to clarify, no intelligent Bears fan is serioulsy comparing this team to the 85 Bears. And by seriously, I don't mean sign-people trying to get on TV at games. This is a by-product of the ESPN hype machine how needs to fill hours of pregame and Chicago media with nothing baseball to talk about. We were laughing along with everyone else when they were comparing this team to the 85 Bears in the pregame show. That's not to say I don't have high expectations for this team or that I didn't expect them to kick Arizona's ass, I did, but I see some jokers saying/posting "You can stop the comparison to the 85 Bears". They never begun in earnest. How about some horrible panic calls by Lovie? The onside kick and going after the punt so early? Terrible play calling by Turner in the first half too. As soon as they threw the bomb on the first play and were three and out, I had a bad feeling about the start of the game. The coaches have as much to work on as the offense. MacAir747 0 Posted October 17, 2006 They ran it twice...once on 2nd and 2, the second time on 3rd and one. Thats how you play football when you are in prettty easy FG range...and want the other team to use their timeouts. And you should be able to get 2 yards. I disagree in this instance. Playing against an undefeated team with some time on the clock, I don't think two ultra conservative runs up the middle into a stacked defense was the right decision. They needed to put the Bears away once and for all with a screen or a bootleg or something that hadn't been used all game. The Cardinals were passing successfully all day long, and when they got within scoring range they seemed to get conservative...ended up costing them the game

DrJ 0 Posted October 17, 2006 Wow, unbelievable. Hats off to the Cardinals, they came to play and the Bears didn't. Glad the Bears were able to pull out a victory despite playing miserably. A good wakeup call without costing them the victory. An ugly 6-0, but we'll take it.
Yer mom 2 Posted October 17, 2006 Leinart and Urlacher are football gods, I'm not sure I've ever been more impressed. The "All Paris Hilton team" impressed. Hasnt been said much tonight...but BOLDIN.....BAD BAD MAN!!!
GlennG31 0 Posted October 17, 2006 Hasnt been said much tonight...but BOLDIN.....BAD BAD MAN!!! Totally agree. Boldin made a lot of tough catches tonight...helped moved the chains. I'm starting to regret picking Fitzgerald over Boldin in my draft.
DrJ 0 Posted October 17, 2006 Green coached one helluva game, even showed the rest of the league how to beat Chicago (neutralize the rush by isolating the corners with quick slants and passes.) They didn't exactly roll up a lot of offense after the 1st quarter, and ended up with 286 yards of offense at 3.5 yards per play. I'd say the key is to force Rex Grossman into 6 turnovers. If every team can do that, the Bears are going to be hard pressed to win games. Despite allowing 2 TD's for this first time this season, I didn't see a defense that was exposed and dominated the entire night... The 1st TD drive was terrible. The 2nd wasn't great either, but it was on a 25 yard field thanks to an Int. The next 2 FG's came off the fumbles on drives of 22 and 10 yards. In the 2nd, their only FG came on the stupid onside kick, on a drive perpetuated by running into the kicker...bad play, yes. But more on the case of the ST than the defense there... What is the defense supposed to do? Steal the ball back every time Rex Grossman turns it over in their territory? The offense has a lot of work to do. The defense didn't play a great game either in the 1st, but outside of that they played their game and there really isn't any more that could be asked of them. Tom_Brady's_feet 0 Posted October 17, 2006 What a good game was this to watch in a sports bar in Chicago (McGee's). Truth of the matter is that the Bears lucked out. And neither team should lose another game after the as$ chewing they both deserve.
GettnHuge 2 Posted October 17, 2006 Green coached one helluva game, How about that great decision before halftime to basically kneel it down with a minute left on the 12 yard line and take an easy fg? So the guy's not Lombardi... My point was they're not even in the freaking game without that gameplan. They didn't exactly roll up a lot of offense after the 1st quarter, and ended up with 286 yards of offense at 3.5 yards per play. I'd say the key is to force Rex Grossman into 6 turnovers. However, you have other options in neutralizing the rush than the same stuff over and over...especially during the long stretches that it was not working. Screens...even take a shot or two deep...especially after the turnovers deep in the zone...you cannot just settle for 3 over and over again. Not really much to bash you on. The Cards kicked the Bears ass in the first half. I disagree in this instance. Playing against an undefeated team with some time on the clock, I don't think two ultra conservative runs up the middle into a stacked defense was the right decision. The Cardinals were passing successfully all day long, and when they got within scoring range they seemed to get conservative...ended up costing them the game I agree a screen somewhere...but 2nd and 2...getting inside one minute...you have a pretty money kicker....you make the other team use its two timeouts....you do not give them the ball with a minute left and timeouts. They got conservative much earlier than that...but those two runs I will defend.

Dont_Fook_Wit_me 0 Posted October 17, 2006 Anyone who thought that The Bears...were the team of the year were the ones smoking the good stuff. I'm not saying that they are bad...but they have been like Billy Madison whipping up on little kids in dodge ball. Who have they beaten...and don't say Seattle w/out a TE and the MVP of the league!!! Oh yeah...they had beaten: Green Bay, Detroit, barely beat Minnesota, Seattle and Buffalo. Sure they did what they were suposed to...but a lot of people were over reacting. Good pick man...I had been sahying it at work...and people thouht I was crazy. Didn't the Bears do something similar last year beat up on the NFC Crap...and then go to the playoffs and get worked!!!! Only this year the NFC Crap is ever craptasticker!!!! you are an idoit.......you look like an idoit after that post and a bears win........DA BEARS BEST TEAM IN NFL BABY 6-0 WHHHHOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO YEA BABY!!!!! They sure as hell had a better plan than Seattle did. Great defenses own the red zone though. If you were expecting 3 and out every time, then I guess I see where you're coming from. But after the 1st quarter, the Cardinals offense didn't really do anything. Did they not get completely demolished and actually pick up a first down or two? Sure.... if that's being exposed I guess we'll take it. I hope every team exposes their way to a few FG's the rest of the season.
SmartassBoiler 0 Posted October 17, 2006 As much as I usually disagree with Theisman's terrible commentary, he hit the nail right on the head last night. The Cardinals had a lot of success spreading the Bears out and moving the ball via draws and the short passing game. Once they got a lead, they seemed very content to sit on the ball, run/run/pass, then kick field goals. The Cardinals fans can thank Dennis Green for going conservative and allowing the Bears to hang around. As a Bears fan, I was elated that the defense bailed us out, and I'm also happy this is the first time this season they've had to do it. Nice to know they're still there when we need them. However, the offense looked brutal. Since they still won the game, I think this is a positive. It's obvious the Bears offense was playing over its heads up until last night's game, and they needed a disaster like this to remind them they're not invincible. Hopefully they right the ship and I expect a far more balanced and effective offense next week.

JGB_11 0 Posted October 17, 2006 Hats off to the Cards, the Bears had no business winning that game (but champions find a way to win no matter what). That was a good call Mackgee, you came up a little short in your prediction (even though I think you made that prediction to get a rise out of people and with 0 football reasoning). Anyway I think we can all agree that Urlacher is a super man in a football uniform, and Lienart will be great one day (I think he has 9 NFL teams saying this morning "Oh Fock why didnt we pick that guy".
