Worst College Football Fans

I think damn near everybody has an opinion on this. I have the benefit of having lived in the west, the midwest (Ohio), have family in the NE and now I reside in the great chololate city of HoustOrleans. For me, after many years, sitting on the sidelines (so to speak) of rivalries like CU-NEB, OSU-MICH, Pitt-Penn, UT-A&M I don't think I've ever run across worse fans than LSU.

 

Now, "worse" has to be defined; What I mean is, just scuzzy, classless, violent, coon-axx trash.

 

Yeah, you'll find arseholes and angels everywhere, so we're definitely talking about generalities with a topic like this. What I've found is that most LSU fans haven't even attended the school. (or for that matter, HIGH school). They don't get the idea of a "friendly rivalry". And, they've got the honor of living in one of the most corrupt, violent, least educated places in the country. - Throw that all into the mix and you're talking a bad, bad situation.

 

In general, I think the SEC probably has the worst as a division. - Again, a lot of that is just demographics. You dip from a dirty well, you're gonna get scuzz.

I'm an alum of CU-Boulder and although I know their fans are not as classless as most, I've always been pretty embarrassed by most of them, when I was there. They have no respect for the team really. They come from all over the country and for the most part, are bigger fans of their home town teams and not CU. I don't know how it s at other schools, but I also found it embarrassing when the student section wasn't full until the middle of the second quarter.

That said, CSU fans will always be worse.. That's all.

I've heard about those LSU but haven't witnessed them in action.

 

My vote goes to Texas Tech fans. It's like a bunch of frat boys getting drunk for the first time.

 

They have no class at all, no sense of respect, tradition or decency.

 

They focking ripped down a goal post and shoved it into the section where A&M fans were sitting. There were injuries.

 

Just a bunch of classless arseholes.

I went to BOTH schools! Back in the day, you could just sit outside CSU's stadium and tailgate for the whole game. Now, they force you to go in. - WTF? On the flip side, I think CU stopped selling beer. - WTFx2!

 

I was always more embarassed of CU's football program than their fans. - That whole McCartney era was bizarre. He's telling everybody to be better christian fathers while his daughter gets knocked up by one QB and marries another.

I will say that a lot of it has to do with McCartney (and to a lesser extent, Barnett).

I agree with LSU. From their "Tii-gur Meat, Tii-gur Meat,Tii-gur Meat" chant, to their throwing beer on opposing fans to their cussing at and hazing opposing fans' kids, they are the worst I've seen.

 

University of Tennessee fans are really annoying and I can't stand the football team, but their fans are not just "wrong" like LSU fans are.

 

All that being said, I'm still for LSU when they play against UT.

I saw 'em in action at their home stadium and was horrified at their behavior. It was like a bunch of drunken teenagers.

 

Texas Tech has little in the way of school tradition to be proud of, so I guess the best they can do is act like a bunch of focking poo-flinging monkeys at the football game.

1. Miss. ST. - backwoods, hill-billy rednecks like you would not believe

 

2. Alabama - see above, plus many of them think they are upper class, you know like when they have a big screen TV in the trailer

 

3. Florida - Spurrier-loving azzholes

 

4. LSU - dem cajuns be fuked up

 

5. Ole Miss - try explaing to them why the rebel flag and Col. Sanders looking mascot are bad ideas, then try finding the university on a map

 

6. Arkansas - hogs everywhere, guys willing to marry them

I am an Ohio State fan but I will admit we have some pretty bad fans. I think it is a small percentage but since they are so many OSU fans that small percentage is still enough. I have confronted OSU fans on several occasions for throwing things at or even trying to fight opposing fans at tailgates.

 

I have heard that Wisconsin fans are even worse but I have never been to a game there.

I used to go to a lot of Tech games when you could still throw tortillas. Some of those jackasses would actually freeze them so that they would go further and injure people.

1. I don't see it, we are not negative towards other team's fans, we're just there to see a football game, party some, and hopefully be competitive. We suck really bad and we know it, hence, we're not very cocky. I've never heard from other fans that we're bad.

 

2. agree mostly about bama, they are pretty cocky and think they are elite even when they're 3-8.

 

3. I've always liked Florida fans, they come in confident, but not cocky, party with us, and are very courteous.

5. our rivals, very passionate about their team, one of the best party schools in America, and you may not be able to find it on a map, but Oxford, MS is one of the most beautiful college towns in America.

I disagree about Bama. while they have their share of the rednecks...many of them are very good football fans.

 

And this from a quasi Tennessee fan...(Badgers are always first to me...)

 

And I found there were far more Redneck Auburn fans when they played Wisconsin here in the Music City Bowl than I ever saw at any UT-Alabama games.

 

If anyone knows about Tennessee football you know who John Ward is. Legendary radio guy down here. Well...during the music city bowl, they had the same in-stadium announcer that the Titans use. Very distinctive voice...never could be mistaken for being John Ward to any normal person...not to these fools behind me. They had a 20 minute argument about whether it was him or not...and settled on thinking that it was.

nextly...i would speculate that the point of fans is to make the opposing team feel unwanted and try to aid in a loss for the visiting team....if fans can do that, then they should be considered good fans...

I'm going to have to agree with this whole heartedly. That pains my soul being that I am an Ole Miss alum. The main problem I have with Ms State is those damn cowbells. God they are terrible. I can't really blame the fans though because if I had gone to state instead of Ole Miss, I would be doing the exact same thing probably.

San Diego State( Not many of them, but arrogant pricks)

Looking at another side of "worst," the Baylor fans are mainly a bunch of pretty, blond-haired, teetotaling sissies who pretty much golf-clap their team to one defeat after another.

I guess their biggest rivalry is A&M, but the Aggies barely even notice. The night before the Big Game with A&M, they have a "bonfire," which is basically a 2-foot-tall pile of burning wooden pallets.

that's funny and reminds me of my mom telling me about when she went to see Mississippi State play at Vandy a few years ago, Vandy did something good and a couple fans started getting loud and some other Vandy "fans" told the cheering Vandy fans to "hold it down". My mom and dad were and like, I thought this was a football game?
