Yep, after falling down 9-1 the Horns finished the half on a 47-9 run. They are going to be a tough team this year because their defense was very active and they were looking to push the ball up the court. They'll be a fun team to watch all year long.

I think the Suns easily go over the 100 point mark. The Mavs defense has been terrible so far and they've given up 100 + points in both road losses so far. If the Rockets can score over 100 there's no reason why an up tempo team like Phoenix can't. The Spurs put up 97 against them, but other than that they've been giving up points left and right.

I love all of the stats, probabilities, trends, strengths, weaknesses, weather forecasts that we share on this board as a team, to me it is such fun stuff. I also like that we have a fairly even sided board here on tonights game so at least some of us can win. Having said that im going to spew my .02 prediction about tonights game....

 

Throw all stats out the window on this one I think, it comes down to who wants it more, and heres what I see. A "fly under the radar" home team begging for respect. The analysts i've heard talk about this game say that even with a Rutgers win and a sweep of the board for the rest of the season they wont get a shot at the National Title....I agree, im sure most of you do as well for fairly obvious reasons (Schedule, Program credibility).

 

I will be the first to come back and chow down on that crow if mistaken.....I think UL runs into a buzzsaw tonight...

I know it's Alcorn State, but the Longhorns looked really really good. I had them at #23 in my preseason rankings and I thought they were just barely behind Texas A&M, but this young team is very aggressive on the defensive end which is something they lacked last year.

 

The Mavs look impressive again early on tonight like they have in 3 of the first 4 games, but I've seen this story way too much early on. Can they find a way to keep up the offensive scoring the rest of the game and not let their defense crumble?

Thanks. I've been trying to read up a lot this year on college hoops gearing up for the season. Gonna focus on the mid majors a lot this year because I think that's where the best bets will be. I think Phoenix in the 2H will be a good play too. Like I was telling GR, the Mavs defense and offense just fall apart after the first period. I think tired legs will come into play and while both teams have been playing a lot of games early on, I think the Suns will have the fresher legs.
