Updatored the reference threads. In the "by position" thread I'm listing the draft order, in the "rosters" thread I'm including bye weeks (if any of you wondered about the significance of those numbers). MacGregor, if there's another way you'd like this done for your purposes with Mike, speak now or forever hold your piece.

Or later.

Thanks Zap. Actually I'm tracking the draft in Draft Buddy and it keeps everything we need to prepare the post-draft pages for the site, similar to the June Mock.

Okay, I am off to Disneyland for a few days. BleedingEagleGreen has my proxy list, and my cell number.

He is a little slow, being an Eagles fan and all, so I'll try not to draft guys with long last names. :)

Wow... I am slow... I lost your proxy list already. Fortunately I still have an Eagles roster in front of me to use instead. I wonder if I can draft an offensive lineman for you in the second round.

;)

Just a little heads up. Grigs (who's up) was the last to join the mock, and may not have received the same information as everybody else. I've noticed he posts regularly in the evenings, but I'm not sure about his morning and day time activity. He may swing by tonight and vote. He may be very slow tomorrow. Please don't get frustrated if he's slow to start. Round 1 is often the toughest to get through, especially in a situation like this, where we've jumped the gun a little, he was the last to join, and as far as I can tell has yet to visit this board. Patience. He's a FFtoday regular, and we'll get him rolling if he's slow.

Yeah, sorry for the hold up guys. I had no idea this thing was starting. I seem to remember it being scheduled for farther on down the road. Anyway, I'll keep up from here out...

Man, I hate not going RB,RB in a draft. Let's get a QB run going so I can still get a 2nd tier RB...

Note to Bluepointer and FFking: Since you're both rounding the corners at the top and bottom of rounds, there's no need to wait for me to pin the following round. Just pick in the current round, scroll down to the following round, and pick again. I'll pin it when I see it. Tia.

I sent Zap my next picks, although I will be in and out all afternoon. Zap-YGM.

 (Do we really need all of those smilies on the top two rows while we only have one crappy angry face?)

Thanks for the list. Remember, you all can do this. Scooter was here late last night. He could have sent me a very short list, and he'd have got his man already. At 9am on day one, I'm pleased though.

 should be a graemlin!

I understand when a guy has sh!t to do because this is only a mock and no biggie. But when a dude is logged inot the board and still doesn't make a pick -- then logs out ! WTF ?

oh well I am done coming back and forth every 10 minutes -- i will stop by every hour or so.

later.

just got a chance...I'll pick now. Sorry for the delay!

And it was not my pick when I was logged in this morning. 1.08 Jamal Lewis was the last pick there and last I checked, I pick 10th.

Relax, man.

There you go!

No offense to higher ranked RBs on the compiler - IMO, Taylor is just more of a stud if he can stay healthy. And a WR was simply not an option for my #1 pick, so no offense to higher ranked WRs either.

I agree with the Taylor pick. I have a hard time separating him and a few others, but his potential positive takes him a little higher imo. He's probably my favorite NFL player, but unlike some others that doesn't influence my draft.

Him and the "others" are why I would be fine drafting later this season. I picked up Jamal Lewis at 2.01 last year and many thought I took him too early. I think there's a good chance to get a top 5 back early in rd two this year also.

I scored Jamal at 2.09 last season, and my leaguemates mocked me for grabbing a "gimpy RB" over Corey Dillon or Donavan McNabb who were both available still.

With LT2 & Jamal Lewis leading my team, no one was laughing when I was cashing my check at season's end.

I didn't start it but I kept it going. I think we all knew it was fake but it just took on a life of its own. No matter what the discussion was involving Ahman, the thought of a degenerative knee always came up. That and his sweating problem.

Edge should have a solid year in 2004. If he ever gets back to 100% he could be a real force.

The thing I like about Edge this year is that the Colts can only afford to pay either Harrison or Edge once the season is over. I really think they'll be resigning Harrison, and let Edge hit the market. He's going to want to show teams how good he really is before he goes looking for his last big payday...

Who do you think will replace him then...Mungro?

The only reason I took Taylor over Edge was this:

they both carry some level of risk for injury, as the past has indicated.

But Taylor plays on a run first team, while Manning-Harrison is a lock for most of the fantasy value on that Colts squad.

Not that Edge will have a bad year - I just thought Taylor would be the most featured RB in the two offenses.

... or Rhodes. Or a draft pick. Polian is one of the best drafters around. He could unearth someone in the 3r or 4th round...

I'm going to go to Blue's list in about five minutes to keep us rolling since it seems like we're pretty active here at the moment. He's probably left a window open, but he's busy at work. tick tock.

Itm shows that he is in here -- yet he isn't picking ? Don't understand that -- unless he just has the window open and isn't there.
