We don't have any major pro teams in Rochester, NY, but a lot of minor pro teams. Anyway, I'll just list the popularity among the major sports.

1. NFL - Everyone is a Bills fan around here.

2. NHL - The Sabres have always been big, even when they sucked. Parent of the historic AHL Amerks for 25+ years.

3. MLB - It's definitely a big Yankees/Mets town. Blue Jays are big with Toronto close by and a lot of Twins and Orioles fans since they have been parent teams of our AAA baseball team.

4. NBA - No one gives a fock about the NBA here. Thank God. :first:

What up Rochester! I was born and raised there, I'm passing through Baltimore now for school.

Anyways, if I were to do this list for my hometown, I'd sneak the Rochester Rhinos in there after NHL hockey, Rochester is a BIG soccer town. The Rhinos consistently outdraw several MLS teams.

Yeah the Rhinos are pretty big. I'd still say the Red Wings are bigger. They've been around forever. No matter what the Rhinos/Knighthawks do, they'll never pass the Amerks or Red Wings. Those two teams are institutions.

The Rhinos should be in the MLS, though. We'd have better fan support than a good amont of current teams in that league.

Wirtz is a jackass. It's sad how far the Blackhawks have fallen. Chicago is still a good hockey town though. Hopefully that idiot leaves and they are back to being a big deal like they should be.

It is. The Bears have won in spite of the McCaskeys, but Dollar Bill the bootlegger has become a black hole of horrible, sucking all the life and hope out everything around. I've never been a big hockey fan, but I became a bandwagon fan in the early 90's when they a good team with likable players like Chelios, Amonte, and Roenick. Then he dismantled a Stanley Cup team in short order and hockey has never been the same in this town.
