I said that at the end of the game. He helped the Colts win more than Manning did.

I find it amazing that Greise was not in there in the 4th quarter.

Not me .... Lovie would've looked a DAMN FOOL if he put Griese in. Smith kept INSISTING that it was REX all the way ... so, to save face, that focktard left him in.

Seriously, unless Grossman actually DIED ON THE FIELD, there was no way Lovie was gonna pull him.

He NEVER took Grossman out during the whole year, now he's going to take him out in the SuperBowl?

I foresee Troy Smith running this offense next year. I mean, he really couldn't possibly be a downgrade and after the BCS championship game, the Bears may have a shot at getting him.

Chicago Bears quarterback Rex Grossman wrapped up $1 million in playoff bonuses in the team's 29-17 Super Bowl loss to Indianapolis Colts, according to BLOOMBERG.

Grossman received a $500,000 bonus for playing in at least 70 percent of the offensive plays during the National Football League's title game yesterday in Miami. Two weeks ago, he earned $500,000 for doing the same thing in the National Football Conference championship game.

In the Super Bowl, the 26-year-old Grossman completed 20 of 28 passes for 165 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. He also fumbled twice, losing one. He took every snap as the Bears quarterback.

Catch-22 for Lovie ... stood by his guy, to a fault ... admirable, yes ... but how much was absolute loyalty, and how much was stubborness? Remember, Lovie was PISSED about answering all of those Grossman inquiries. They started in the second half of the season, and they were unrelenting.

So, no ... he doesn't necessarily look smart, but ... loyalty goes a long way. I still contend that short of ONFIELD DEATH, Grossman was taking every snap, and that was Lovie spiting the press.

I agree Grossman is a pretty dumb qb but the Bears defense was on the field all day because they couldn't stop the Colts. the Bears defensive tackles should have shared in the MVP. The Colts ran up the gut all day against the Bears. I get the feeling that the Colts could have easily scored more points if they wanted to open it up. They were controlling the clock with the run so they just stuck to it and kept their defense well rested.

Of course they'll have a shot at him. He probably won't go until mid 3rd round or later. But Schaub might be a better target. They need a quick fix, not a project.
