BroncoBilly 0 Posted February 19, 2007 6 years ago to the day #3 Ernhardt dies.......today the guy who replaced him wins the race....cuz the good ol boys dont throw the yellow like they did all race long. Martin should have won that race if they would have stayed true to form. FIX Is Vinnie MaC running NASCAR too?
GettnHuge 2 Posted February 19, 2007 Man, I am STOKED for the 2007 NECKAR season to finally get under way; those three months since the 2006 season ended were sheer torture. I mean, who wouldn't get psyched for a non-sport that goes in ovals and only turns left for 9 months? There's barely enough NFL football, NBA, NHL and NCAA football/basketball action from mid November to mid February to sustain NECKAR necks like me. fixored
Independent George 0 Posted February 19, 2007 NASCAR sucks and you're all gay for posting in this thread! (including me) BUT that ending was freaking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jocstrap 8 Posted February 19, 2007 Non Athletic Sport Centered Around Rednecks! If you don't like it, so what? What other sport gets 200,000 fans in the stand for a given Sunday?

BMoney 0 Posted February 19, 2007 fixored i dont mind everyone else watching hoops while i watch nascar....that doesnt bother me.. what bothers me is the people who watch golf and hoops thinking that their opinion matters.... it doesnt....just because you cant change your own oil doesnt mean you have to rip on nascar.....
GettnHuge 2 Posted February 19, 2007 I don't believe 200,000 people are watching those. Now put the skates on the dogs...... then you'd be surprised how many people go to dog shows every week all over this country. as for figure skating - old people watch tv too. I suppose tho it would be clearer to you if I said a lot of people watch professional wrestling too.

I suppose tho it would be clearer to you if I said a lot of people watch professional wrestling too. I don't think 200,000 people are going to ONE dog show like they do for the Daytona 500. But since you are adding up all of the dog shows in the country lets add up all of the races per week in the Country. Every dirt track, short track, or 1/2 mile track every week is filled and I promise that there are more race fans than dog show fans. (though Best in Show was hilarious.) Old people like Nascar as well so I don't know where that argument comes from.
GettnHuge 2 Posted February 19, 2007 fine I'll play the trump card of pathetnicity. Bowling is the #1 played sport in this country. guess that means it's the best
lambert58 71 Posted February 19, 2007 fine I'll play the trump card of pathetnicity. Bowling is the #1 played sport in this country. guess that means it's the best Uh, I think you have a couple of posters mixed up with your arguments.. I never said Nascar was the best (Football is by far). I was just pointing out that dog shows don't usually have 200,000 people at a live event. Not for sure what the rolleyes was for? I get it, you don't like Nascar. I never once argued that you should. Just pointing out that many people do. p.s. Women bowlers are HOT!

Independent George 0 Posted February 19, 2007 That one dude finished the race upside down AND on fire!!! I may rethink my opinion of NASCAR after that!! But on the issue of dog shows and NASCAR. How cool would it be if these guys rode with their dogs!! Can you picture a dog sticking his head out the window at 180mph!

(though Best in Show was hilarious.) 200k at dog shows? no, but the point is there are a lot who do go, doesn't make it any better. but if you do want to play the numbers game: Typical NBA weekend 20 games - ~15k per game = 300,000 Typical college weekend 150 games - ~10k for the upper echelon, ~5k for the next group. and lets say ~1k per game for the bulk 100 games = 450,000 so on an average NBA-NCAA basketball weekend we're looking at 3/4 of a million people and that is not counting the millions who watch the games nationally and locally. Wanna add in high school basketball too?
Juniper 0 Posted February 19, 2007 ...and who wouldn't want one of these lovely ladies? I'll have trouble fitting into my bowling trousers just thinking about some of those beauts... Juicy Jennifer. Majoring in Human Services, indeed. Emily, Will You Marry Me? She puts the Grand in Rapids. Assly Ashley. I hope she mixes Business with pleasure. Vanessa The Voluptuous. To heck with an hourglass figure; I'll take the girl with a bowling pin figure any time.

parrot 789 Posted February 19, 2007 What is the purpose on throwing the yellow flag on the last lap, heading into the last turn when the crash happens behind all of the action? I wanted Martin to win, but throwing the yellow rather than having them race it out would have been a travesty.

Isotopes 1 Posted February 19, 2007 I don't mornally watch NASCAR but I watched the last 25 laps or so yesterday. So if they are under caution, they just drive around and can't pass each other but the laps still count? That doesn't make sense.
KSB2424 3,148 Posted February 19, 2007 I don't mornally watch NASCAR but I watched the last 25 laps or so yesterday. So if they are under caution, they just drive around and can't pass each other but the laps still count? That doesn't make sense. I think because you can still "pit" during a caution, cars not a lap down get to move to the back of the pack, and time constraints (imagine how much longer the race would be) are a few reasons they count those laps. Plus, and most importantly, that is the way it has always been!

Plus, and most importantly, that is the way it has always been! i watched the ending again...... for what its worth...harvick barely had the lead when the wreck started...(though the flag people wouldnt have reacted quick enough to throw the flag in time..) but martin quickly gained it back.... only to have harvick get it back for good at the end.... if it was a half lap to go...im guessing they throw the yellow..but the line was right there and the wreck wasnt going to influence the leaders.... bowyer looked like he had a toy car at the end....weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee oh yeah....dale jr wrecks(nice to see teresa clap at that)...gordon..stewart all crash...good times
GobbleDog 996 Posted February 19, 2007 I can't get into NASCAR despite living in the south all my life and being around friends love it. And I think I know why... I don't care which stupid redneck is going to win each week. That's why I also don't like golf or tennis where you root for a bunch of schmucks and not a city. If I had Team Orlando to root for... I might actually care.
AmbassadorOfKwan 0 Posted February 19, 2007 sweet sweet eye candy. I'll save the 2nd two for later, Emily was the wad shot clincher this time. To show one would have proven the point, to keep lookin must mean that you have a thing for large female bowlers. I guess everyone has their own preferences. You should try somethin like this though.. http://www.kimadler.com/
