football_scooter 0 Posted March 28, 2007 Give him some time, those graves don't dig themselves. diggin The Roots pick. Great band, great drummer (with a great fro)
DrJ 0 Posted March 28, 2007 maybe we should just shorten this to 12 rounds so people would stop calling people's music choices ghey There's still plenty of non ghey music to choose from, people just choose to take sh!t like Elvis, Beethoven, Dixie Chicks, Garth Brooks, etc, etc rather than picking from the available non ghey talent. All these picks do is detract from the real talent on your roster. What - are the 3 curlies on the bored going to join your island because of the BS Dixie Chicks? Metallica was a great band, but you'd think they were the only metal band that existed in the early 80's because people would rather have Dixie Chicks on their roster than some quality non ghey bands from that time. It's just sad.

Big_Pete 0 Posted March 28, 2007 this wasn't a "Heavy Metal Album Draft"...... I'm trying to diversify my picks. Yeah, they may not be the most popular amongst you guys, and again, if it was my personal favorites, there would be nothing but Metallica on the island. But again, that wasn't the point. Before you chime in, read the focking original thread/post. You'll see that we needed to keep other peoples tastes in mind. And I know that people out here like country/rap/classical/oldies/etc.... phillybear 366 Posted March 28, 2007 9.11 Weezer- Weezer (the blue album) Undone - The Sweater Song, Buddy Holly, So It Ain't So, In The Garage. One of the greatest debut albums ever. Not a bad song on this album. Arguably, this album ushered in the era of EMO bands that dominate the music scene today.

The "other people" are a bunch of 20-30 years old FF geeks on average. All you're doing by putting that sh!t on your list is picking up the 3 h0mo votes, and 3 curly votes. You need to learn a thing or two from Rove - appeal to your focking base dumbass.
phillybear 366 Posted March 28, 2007 10.2 Soul Asylum - Grave Dancer's Union Somebody to Shove, Black Gold, Runaway Train, Without a Trace, etc Another album without a bad song. I'm taking a lot of 90's albums. I think that era of music was greta.

I started this in I think the 5th round. And why am I doing this? cause it's taken 1 1/2 weeks to get 8 focking picks in. I also hope that someone out there will say "oh yeah, I forgot about that group/album", in which case, my work here is complete.
