it's give and take... clinton had a couple of things going for him... a very liberal media, and some sheer luck...

 

by lucky i mean he was lucky as hell columbine happened when it did because it steered the up til then supportive liberal media away from his "unethical war" start up when they bombed pharmacies and schools overseas (the name of the country is escaping me right now). That mixed with setting a prime example of how immoral our country is to the world (the president is the biggest ambassador of our country if you think about it). And not to mention that his record surplus of gov't funds was ronald reagan's doing...

 

another reason people view him as "great" was that he was a charismatic speaker... he didn't slip all over himself GWB style... you know that guy talked many a girl out of their panties in college...
