Clash of the Titans 1 Posted May 31, 2007 i like plaxico to hover around the top 10 this year.....another year of experience for eli - a team with a bad defense- means lots of shootout...no tiki which will mean more looks in the redzone..he's already their top redzone threat anyway through the air....i think this is his best year of his career

Clash of the Titans 1 Posted May 31, 2007 some quick thoughts on other picks harrison- totally logical but this is the year i think wayne becomes the #1 in indy...i still have harrison at 10 but it won't suprise me if he falls much further holt and benson are great value picks at 2.12/3.1 to pair with lt- regardless if you don't like benson he has a great defense and great o-line and he'll certainly put up AT LEAST 1300/8 in his sleep i look for double digit tds and even more yards wayne at 3.2 is solid don't like carnell at all this year - i think the bucs are terrible and pittman-alstott will kill his value at the goal line love walker this year- maybe a little early but i have him at #7 3.11- jacobs- this is looking liker my bust of the year- i have seen this guy and auburn and he is nothing but an upright straight-line runner with little agility- he's an injury waiting to happen.....yeah i think hell get used at the goal line but i don't think he can handle a solid workload at all- he has never had a full one in college or the pros....i think the other back they signed will make this at best a rbbc... guys like jacobs don't make good nfl backs... think it's too early for housh at 3.12- i think henry will be missed on 3rd down sets and stretching the field i think he won't finish higher than #15 at best....would much rather have colstopn or driver there..... i do think brady at 4.1 is a bargain- i think this is his carrer year as well......although i have manning at #1 won't suprise me if brady finishes #1 evans won't have any better stats than last year- he's too inconsistent and jauron likes to run too much- they really only throw a lot when they are behind- their defense will be better- like colston at 4.4 lynch at 4.6 is a calculated risk- everything is there for him to succeed peace out
remote controller 143 Posted May 31, 2007 Falco has picked me twice with Bush and now Moss. I can't stand Moss, but felt he was easliy the best player left on the board at this point in the draft. All my draft sheets are at work, so I'll grab someone when I get there.

Seriously, though, this is usually a RB-heavy draft, but this year, WRs are flying off the board much quicker. I haven't seen this many WRs gone at this point in the draft before......... remote controller 143 Posted May 31, 2007 Damn I hate this, as I'm only seeing one player that deserves this slot on the board. It's just not like me to grab a Qb. at this point. I guess we add up points in the end, so I'll grab the guy who brings me the most points here.

Fumbleweed 547 Posted May 31, 2007 Oh, quit your complaining......Brees at 4.09 is a steal and you and I both know it. Very nice pick!
thedanzone 2 Posted May 31, 2007 I was hoping for Plax, Moss or Brees, but they all got snatched up right in front of me. I hope Ward can put together a decent season. Age seems like it could be catching up with him though Roethlisberger was a bit banged up last year and out of sorts. if Ward finishes top 15 in WRs I'll be happy picking him here. remote controller 143 Posted May 31, 2007 Ward almost became my #2 wideout. I blame his qb last year more than his injury. Nice choice, as wideouts are thin.
Da Bomb 0 Posted May 31, 2007 my thoughts on the 2nd half of the 4th round... plax - nice spot for him. he'll be inconsistent but should hover around the top 10 or 15. wouldve been my 3rd WR on my list at 4.4, behind colston and gates. good pick r moss - i dont want any part of him this year. i dont expect much. that being said, this is a pretty crazy spot to get randy moss at. the upside is obvious, and in the middle of the 4th, you cant argue with it. if i was trying to build a "wow" mock draft, i wouldve definitely taken him at 4.4. imo you either just got a top 3 WR or a 25-30 WR. i just think its the 25-30, but cant argue with that upshot. brees - probably about where he'll go, and no real big qualms with it. i think the saints will drop slightly but even so brees should be sitting in the top 5 in that offense. just not a huge fan of taking qbs in the first four rounds, but good spot for him. barber - i was shocked to see him so high honestly. its not the first dallas rb i would pick, and i didnt expect to see his name until the late 6th, at which point i still wouldve thought it was something of a reach. clearly a difference of opinions here. i dont deny his upside either, trust me, im a minnesota fan. i just dont see the opportunities. combining the double upside with AP makes it much better, cuz you just need one to hit now. but between AP staying healthy and MBIII playing hit or miss, it could make for a very frustrating choice each week. your top 3 guys will be awesome, but now youre going to have weakish WRs the rest of the way and could have just bought a big question mark at rb. of course you couldve won the league too. ward - good pick, probably next wr on my board, or 2nd next. j lewis - good pick. doable 2nd RB, moving to a better situation for him this year, should be a solid 1100/7 sort of guy. i can only imagine if you had started lt2/holt/wayne and then added him as a second RB here. that team would be pretty sick.
