I already said I would not. But then, Clash didn't question my commish ability when I opened the league to new members like Ace did. So there ya go.

 

I like both Scooter and ACE and don't want to see anyone, especially owners who made it through last year.

Another option is to draft in the order of season ending standings from last year, kinda like NFL.

 

Not just no, but HELL no. For one, there's new members in the league and it wouldn't be fair to them. Secondly, it's a redraft. I could see doing this in a keeper format to facilitate parity, but in a redraft, it's a fresh start. Last year's standings shouldn't impact this years draft. One man's opinion, but I'll certainly listen to league opinions on it.

So let's be real here for a moment: I've earned just a little slack in all of this and a little benefit of the doubt. So far you've afforded me neither. That's not exactly cool you know.

This year if there is NEW business to decide on, that too will be put up for vote. Of course it will - why you keep insisting that I'm not willing to put things up for vote is both insulting and a mystery, because it defies the reality of how this league has been run. But that has nothing to do with you insinuating that I'm going to try to cheat any of you. That had no place in here.

 

I'm fine with moving on - there's plenty of time to argue and better things to argue about. But there are some things you just don't do and frankly you crossed the line here Ace. I'm over it, but the generalizations you're making aren't in concert with how the league has been run to date - you should be thrilled to hear confirmation that everything you are concerned about is and has been a non-issue in the past. My reply to your "SALY" approach (SAME AS LAST YEAR) is that we have 2 new members this year. In theory....those 2 votes, in theory, are enough to sway any league vote in one direction or another. In addition, recurring league members have the right to "change their mind" from year to year on certain issues and could vote differently on something this year as compared to last. Am I saying this is the case? Not necessarily...but it is POSSIBLE.

 

So with all that.....let's just save any future grief and don't use the "we voted on it last year" thing. What's been done up to this point is fine....but from this point forward I expect you to put ANYTHING that comes up to a league vote. Those are my ONLY expectations of you as commish....i expect the league to do the rest. I really don't care if you think I "crossed the line" cause in my opinion I didn't at all since I never accused you of anything...you READ INTO what I wrote as some sort of indirect shot at you and it went from there. We'll just agree to disagree on that one point.

I know that.....my only intention behind that was to make sure he at least gave the league a chance to "vote" on it. I really don't have a problem with the randomnizer....my problem was the fact scooter just assumed we were going to use it cause he wanted to or cause it was "used last year". My sole objective this season is to make sure everything gets put up for vote among the league members. And like you already pointed out Solo....not everything was "voted" on last year. Even in cases that it was....this is a new year and we have 2 new members. Just looking out for the best interest of the league...I know you'd appreciate that.

I've been saying this for days. We have 12 people who committed to this league, so I'm not sure why Clash is soliciting for members.

 

As for Solo's comments, whatever you say, ya quitter. But you could check the authors of the draft topics, and let me know who did all the data entry, eh? Oh, then check to see who set up Yahoo. Well gee whiz, with all the harmony and in this topic, I'm shocked (shocked!) to hear that.

 

I think if I start a "owner needed" topic we'll get hits. For now I agree that we give Rye another day to show - he claimed his spot, it's his spot. But we can only wait so long. The alternative is to pick another date to draft, but we all know how hard it is to get 12 people together for a live draft date.

 

I'm a little shocked that Sunday worked for everyone.

 

Let's wait until Thurs and then actively recruit if needs be. Unless anyone (Ace) has any objections?
