I got a 9 yr old watching Hanna Montana in my freakin draft central. Being the only guy in a house full of girls is all it's cracked up to be either brother

I just talked to Joc and found out that yahoo drafted for myself and Old Guru, thru no fault of ours.

 

We were here, we wanted to draft, but experienced technical difficulty.

 

Joc said that my team was decent, so I am sure that you guys can find another owner. I am not interested in a team that I did not get to draft. I'm pissed, but I'll get over it.

 

The league is weaker IMO with two phantom drafters, so take that into consideration when you rank each others' draft, or win the trophy this year.

 

If you guys go back to slow draft next year I'd like to be back.

dude - you can't just quit. That's terrible. Make some trades - you have a solid team.

hey guys- stick it out- take it as an added incentive to make your team better....the rankings here are as good as any site....you both have good teams....it's a free league......we are just playing for fun...i could certainly understand if it was a money league...

I've got a little time. My plants on shut down for two weeks. Being a geek, I still will go in to check things out. But today. I dropped my daughter off at camp and I'm just sitting around waiting for the first week to start and then I can kick scooters a$$ to the curb in the first game.

I don't have McNabb on my team.

 

My WR core could be better though. It was either Fitz or Palmer at 3.1 and I decided I'd rather have the #2 QB in FF than a WE who'll finish towards the bottom of the top 10 and hasn't had 1 healthy season yet.

 

Was hoping Plax, Lee Evans, or Driver would be there at 4.12 but they weren't so I ended up with Ward. After Ward it was guys like Chambers, Branch, Braylon, etc left, I didn't want to burn a 5.1 on them so I took MB3 and ended up with Glenn and Stallworth as 2 and 3.

In that case, I hate your WRs. Ward as a WR1? Ouch.

 

With that 1.01 LT2 pick, I think you HAD to take a WR with your 3rd or 4th pick. While Palmer is money, you really left yourself hurting at WR for a start 3 PPR league. MBIII was a luxury pick that IMO you did not need there.

 

Ward is a very good player, but I don't see any WR really blowing up in that offense - I do not have Ward as a WR1 guy this year. And Stallworth will be money for the 9 games he plays. But in that offense I see him getting 3-4 receptions a game at best. Every receiver gets involved, none get fat on stats. It's the Brady Way.

 

After that you have Glenn, who I like, but you better hope Ward & Stallworth stay healthy & productive because you have a lot of scraps after that.

 

Still - LT2 will win you many weeks on his own.

Maybe I should take this over to our draft thread but who would you have taken instead of MB3 there? Like I said, my plan was to go RB, RB, WR, WR, WR but you can't just stick to your plan regardless of who's on the board. Taking a guy like Branch, Braylon, or Coles at 5.1 would have been stupid considering Glenn, Galloway, Cotchery, etc would all be available 20-30 picks later and will put up equivalent if not better stats.

 

I'm not totally thrilled with my team but with passing TD's at 6 a pop, a stud QB like Manning, Palmer, Brees, or Brady is just as important (if not more) than a stud WR. Once you get past CJ, Owens, Smith, Holt, and Marv it's all pretty much a wash anyways. With the new offensive scheme in Pitt, Ward is just as likely to put up 1200 and 10 as Fitz, Roy, Housch, etc, etc. I'm a bit concerned about Stallworth and his fragile hammy, but if he stays healthy he'll be the #1 WR in New England. Moss has been done for 3 years and is nothing more than a decoy at this point of his career.

It was I who drafted said Mr. McNabb...and my only rebuttal to you is this.

 

Seeing as you selected Westy as your #1 pick at 1.08...you better hope and PRAY that my McNabb pick doesn't bust because you know as well as I do that Westy's fate is tied EXCLUSIVELY to the outcome of McNabb health. Jeff Garcia is gone...if you put that rookie under center you can kiss all of Westy's value bye-bye.

 

For the record I think BOTH Micky-Nabb and Westy will have fantastic years this year...but to say one is a "good pick" and the other is a reach when the success of one is SO VERY MUCH dependent on the other in tha particular case....doesn't make sense.
