Simply because the players make so much money from salary, endorsements, commercials, personal appearances, etc, that they are out of the mobs price range, other than blackmail situations. I have a question about that, I know that dogfighting is a felony, is the time per count? Meaning if they found those 30 dogs or whatever, will it 5 years per dog? Vick is (at this point) implicated. Would guess Vick's ability to sell tickets/merchandise is at an all time low right now. There are not a whole lot of ghetto thugs who would overlook this fact that buy season tickets and merchandise. Those who steal the merch will likely still do so but not those who pay for it.
