joeshushu 51 Posted July 2, 2007 The ole focking oak barrels. My dad loved those things. He use to get them real cheap and take us in our Sunday's best after church, to pick them up at the local nursey. One time he was pushing one up the drive way and the thing came apart. He had us out there in our best monkey suits trying to put that thing back together by hand, screaming dirty language at his young church going children, because we couldn't get that God dam thing back together. Ah good times.

Ah good times. Yea...Personally, I think the things are ugly, but then again, I still think that I am a good "catch" for a woman Nice! They don't look like they're dying. Thanx. I didn't pick any of them out, or plant the little fockers. All I did was pay for them and do all the bullshit manual labor to enable them to be planted umm....why did you buy so few plants? So few? Thats alot of plants, I thought Going back to Lowes and buying 2 avacado trees for the back yard next week. Guacamole for free
naomi 356 Posted July 2, 2007 Probably going to plant some shrubs under the winow or something...Don't know yet Hydrangeas (flowering shrub) grow really well here, they take no effort beyond planting them and watering them during the hottest parts of summer, but if your bedding flowers wind up taking off, that would probably look too flowery.
p.man 7 Posted July 2, 2007 You should add some mulch to that bedding. It will help keep the bedding from drying out and killing your plants. And it will look nice too.

Let Da Big Dog Eat 40 Posted July 3, 2007 Going back to Lowes and buying 2 avacado trees for the back yard next week. Guacamole for free Plant enough of them them and you can be a true SoCal liberal and claim you are a avacado "farm" and get tax credits for your double wide estate. Then you can condemn all those who really pay taxes and spew support for illegal immigration, free health care, etc. while cheating on your taxes. A man's gotta have a plan! Whoever planted them, you have to soak the hole with water before inserting plants. I am sure you understand the concept of a wet oriface prior to insertion? And, I agree, mulch is required if you want your pansies to ever grow to your level of pansyness.

BiPolarBear 485 Posted July 3, 2007 You keep a very neat home. I think those are whiskey barrels. They char them on the inside to give the whiskey a "smokey" flavor which is something I do not think they do with wine. Sweet potato vines would look good in them. The vines are very popular these days and come with purple leaves as well as green. Sweet potato vines are what you see hanging from the wrought iron balconies in New Orleans. They grow fast and it is not expensive. They will stay low to the soil, so you might want something that grows taller to go with them.
