If I leave my thread I lose my knowledge.....must ask question inside here. I know, it's strange, but it's true. I can tell you right now.....Peterson for Coles...sign me up! I'd take Peterson's ability and potential over Coles receiving passes from Pennington anyday of the week and twice on Sunday!! I am very sorry master that I did not know the rules. 2GQ 0 Posted September 2, 2007 You need a different kind of help and it's not from Cuse. I can't believe you took the time to type out your whole league. Yes Groovy, cutting and pasting was a lot easier than trying to cut/paste/modify to only type QB/RB/WR (those positions most sought after in a trade). By the way, my question was never answered in response to that marathon posting. Care to take a stab at it?
2GQ 0 Posted September 2, 2007 Ahh....there's nothing wrong with that. Maybe he just copied and pasted? Yes, cut and paste is a timesaver!!! If you can look at the marathon post in question (comes up on Page 3), I don't believe there was a response. I just cut and paste my league as you had been nice enough to look at my situation and in a past post replied "I gotta go to work now, in the morning I'll check back in and look at the other teams and see if I can see anything that looks like you could get a deal out of." Cuse9 129 Posted September 5, 2007 Your credentials, sir? That is, other than having a lot of extra time on your hands! My credentials are: I've been playing for thirteen years. I have become self proclaimed master at making trades, finding players that nobody knows/cares about and consistantly winning! I have won all four of my money leagues at least once. I've made playoffs in two leagues for 11 consecutive years. Last year finished 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd. For the guys that say they win their league every year or every other....impossible. Way too much luck to consistantly win your league. There isn't a player you can name that I can't give you a good idea on how they'll perform this year. Sleepers: I've pulled out some great ones. Of course I've had some bombs as well (still can't believe Yatil Green never panned out) This year watch Laurent Robinson, Demetrius Williams and David Martin. They will be my "credential testers". Go to www.elwayforever.com in about a week and you'll be able to see all my history. It's my league that I've run for eleven years now. I just switched my site, so I haven't updated everything. It is NOT a informational site, simply a site for the league I run.

I can play 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, I DEF and 1 Kicker. Pretty much standard scoring except 5 points for passing TDs and no PPR. Here is my team: QB: Kitna, Eli Manning RB: Rudi Johnson, Lawrence Maroney, Marion Barber and Ladell Betts WR: Houshmandzadeh, Roy Williams, Vincent Jackson and Jerrico Cotchery TE: Winslow and Greg Olsen K: Robbie Gould, Rob Bironas I feel pretty good about starting Kitna, Housh, Roy Williams, Winslow and Gould for week 1. First team, great rb's and depth! QB's are very good. WR is a bit of a concern. CJ is great. Moss is nit or miss. Galloway is too old, time for rapid decline, Jennings is a good prospect and Porter is in Oakland. I would definitly try and use Lynch, James, or Taylor to try and landt anther solid wr! Depth at rb is great, but not when your starters suffer at other positions. For the 8 team league, you team is solid. 8 teamers are harder to judge because the talent is so thick on every team. It looks good though. Nothing I would really consider messing with. Good job....try and get better talent at wr in you 10 team league. You have the resources to upgrade....use them! Really like your rb's. Addai is a star and Jones will be much better this year. I really like that you handcuffed Jackson/Morency. One of them will have good value this year. Pittman is a nice bye week fill in. Three solid starters at wr is nice. I'm very high on Demetrius this year. I think this is his year to take off! Jennings is a nice one. Muhammed won't give you much, I'd look for someone with more promise...James Jones, Jacoby Jones, Bobby Wade......someone that has the potential to put up big numbers. TE's are very plain. I don't think they'll ever have a big games for you, but should post a consistant score every week. Don't worry about the bye until you have too. Baltimore, top notch....don't even need to say why. Bailey.....drop him! He's the best cover corner in the league. Problem is QB's know this and the throw away from him. He won't get you alot of points, due to his lack of opportunities! Check guys from the Bears.....Mike Brown is a good one! Ronde Barber is always good. Don't go off of name recognition with IDP's. Teams will usually gameplan away from the stars, so you should steer clear. Team looks very good though.

Charles One thing you'll learn is you always start your studs. This don't change for anything. Rudi is one of the most consistant players there is. Even though it's the Ravens, he should still get at least 80 yds. Maroney is a no brainer as well. I know Barber is a nice pick vs Dallas, but I'd like to see how Phillips uses them (Barber/Jones) this year. I'd keep Marion down until you see what his role is. Very good team. I assume it's a small league....you have alot of talent on your roster. Stick with Rudi and Maroney and you'll be fine. GL

Natitown 0 Posted September 5, 2007 I'll keep it simple. Brandon Marshal or Mark Clayton. I'm leaning Clayton but he's coming off of injury and probably won't be 100%. I really like Clayton as well, but recently everything I've read about Marshall points to future star! They call him "Lil TO" for his skills. He seems to have great timing with Cutler and since they're both young this could form into a great tandem for quite awhile! Marshall for sure!

The QB is a much better play....unless your QB is playing SD!! I'd also like to see who Gerrard is going to throw to and how much. He's a guy to watch a couple weeks and see how he's looking. Jordan does have a good match-up vs the Lions and Jordan will be giving everything he's got to protect his job when Rhodes comes back. Go with Lamont. Cuse9 129 Posted September 5, 2007 Wes Welker or Brandon Marshall?? Not even close.......Brandon Marshall in a landslide! Welker will have a few big games, but Marshall will be more consistant. Marshall has some serious starpower!
Cuse9 129 Posted September 5, 2007 Who would you start? Kitna vs Oak or Romo vs NYG WR TJ Housh vs Bal Braylon Edwards vs Pit M Clayton vs Cin Jerricho Cothery vs NE I need 2 WRs. Points for both TD and yards! Thanks so much! Kitna....we know what he and the Martz system can do. Oakland has a good d, but I don't think it matters look for Kitna to find The Legend, CJ2 and Mr. Furry alot!! I like Romo, but I'm curious to see if they'll throw more under Phillips/Garrett. WR I think Housh is a no brainer. Then I would take Mark Clayton. Edwards has alot of talent but Crennell has no clue how to use stars. He's the worst HC in the NFL. Even the village idiot would know you need to feed your stars to win games........yet he'll consistantly get the ball in the hands of Steve Heiden and Jerome Harrison, killing Edwards value. I think the Pats will shut down the Jets, so Cotchery is out IMO. Very close though....all four are good wr's to have.
Cuse9 129 Posted September 5, 2007 What size are your cans? Depends on which cans you're talking about? I have cans of green beans which are 15.25 ounces and then I have some Chunky Soup that is 18.6 ounces. So, I have two different sizes? Both serve their purpose though. The 18.6 size can is designed to fill me up....that is why there are three more ounces in it. The green beans are designed to be seperated and be only a portion of the meal so the smaller can works. Actually of the 15.25 ounces I'll only consume 2-4 ounces myself and leave the rest for the family. Hope that helps....Good luck

I drafted him and I have a surplus of RB's, by hook or crook, I got `em (LJ, Henry, Brown, Benson, Norwood) but little to no WR1 (Coles, Bray Edwards, Chambers). I took a shot at trading Brown, to no avail, so now I want to know what you think of his chances this year and those of Henry and Benson, because short of the WW and some luck I'm trying to figure if I can use any of these guys (besides LJ) to get back a true WR1 (the one I should have drafted). Thanks.

Should I start Maurice-Jones Drew or Brandon Jacobs? And who do you think will have a better season at Tight End this year : : Kellen Winslow or Vernon Davis? Thanx a bunch! As good as MJD was last year.....Tiki Barber was better! I haven't seen anything that says the Giants will run a different type of offense. So, we must assume that Jacobs has every chance to be as good as Tiki! Jacobs is the #1 back and will be used in all aspects during the game. MJD is a great back, but he'll have minimal running chances and will rely on receptions to put up numbers. Jacobs is the choice here. Winslow and Davis is a tough one! I love Winslow, but Crennell is such a bad coach. Same thing goes for Winslow that I said about Edwards. Great talent, Crennell just don't know how to use it!! Davis is in an up and coming offense and should put up nice numbers. In a close one I would take Winslow. There are more chances for him to succeed. He'll contend with Edwards for top aerial threat. Joe J. is just kind of there?! Davis will contend with Jackson, Battle, Lelie and Gore for balls through the air. Winslow just seems to be in a better position to put up numbers. Good luck

I'm leaning toward JC. 5 per throwing TD plus yardage bonus every 100 yards... Thanks for the time You have to go with Campbell here. The Phins have a good defense, but not that good. Campbell should do fine this week. 200 yds and a TD or two. Grossman had some great games to start out last year, but he didn't play SD either! This guy is too sporatic to start especially vs a top notch D. Campbell won't get you great points, but he won't get you bad points. Grossman is liable to get you negative points!
