However: Regardless of the poisoning aspect - Before they even made this toy, Or at least before Parents BOUGHT the damn things, didn't anybody stop to think "Hey, these things are small enough for kids to swallow! Aside from being a complete waste of money since your kid will likely play with it for an hour before never looking at it again.....I can see the things ending up everywhere, some kid choking on them, and just plain getting on my flipping nerves..... You have to just hope by then your kids are smart enough not to go around swallowing ######. And lots of toys have parts of swallowing size. It's a learning process, mouthing is their way to learn about new textures, tastes, feelings, etc. In infancy (and I know I will be mocked for this) it's called the "oral stage." It usually ends close to one year, although after that you will still find kids mouthing things. So, I believe that you and your nephews did it, you just don't remember. I actually saw these in a craft store the other day, almost bought some. The next morning, I heard about the recall. I thought it was kinda funny, actually. I'm saying I never did it when I was around the age of most of the kids reporting the illnesses and neither did either of my nephews who are 8 and 3 now. I know babies do, but you don't give an infant Aqua Dots. That's the ridiculous part of this.
