His Job is to stay on the field in order to be a starting/good running back in the nfl. If I was paid millions and didnt produce consistently i would be fired.

I keep wondering when Coughlin is just going to face facts and return Jacobs to what he does best, which is goal line/vulture and short yardage work.

 

I think it's safe to say the experiment of him being an everydown back has failed. What's lost here is the guy is literally a beast at short yardage/GL work, probably the best in the league. You just can't overwork him. As a GL vulture he still has tremendous value in FF.
