Haynesworth may be one of the biggest losses in the NFL right now. Tenn was relying desperately on their def. And, in fairness, VY apparently is still hampered by a quad injury. When he can't run around, he's just not a very good pocket passer.

Oh this POS has it. But what he has, you don't want any of. The blame game that was played by vick nut suckers is currently being played by Vinc Yung nut lickers. Problem is that the ATL WR's are currently 'magically' catching the ball at a rate better than any vick year. Coincidence? Hardly. When you run a route and expct the ball at a certain point it is easier to catch than waiting for some chicken with his head cut off to quit running around before throwing it your way when you aren't expecting it.

Much of the winning last year was because of VY...sorry some of you cannot handle that.

I get that VY is overrated. I get that it's annoying to listen to homers ranting about their guys. I just don't get why there has to be so many threads about it.

 

And as for excuses. People make lots of excuses for young quarterbacks black and white. Look at David Carr. Look at Joey Harrington. Excuses, excuses, excuses until people ran out of ways to defend them. Unless Vince gets his act together pretty quickly, the same thing will happen to him.

 

People want to compare Vince's situation to Vick's or McNabb's, but it's different. Those guys established themselves to a degree then used their positions (in different ways) as well as their race to deflect criticism even when warranted. Flip side to that though is that some people also used the position and race of those guys to criticize them even when criticism wasn't warranted. It's a bit of a cyclone.

 

In Young's case, I think he is still in the grace period where people look more at potential than results, but the clock is ticking. I mean there's a race element to it as well (isn't there always) but it's a little different than Vick or McNabb, I think.

I heard some quote from him this year that said something along the lines of not changing how he does things because that is what got him to the NFL.

 

If you are not willing to update your game at this level, you will not do well. He has the physical tools, he needs to prove he has a brain to use them.
