art schlichter's bookie 0 Posted January 2, 2008 Let's get after this game tonight. I lean Oklahoma because of the coaching situation in WVU, but I don't like giving more than 7. Can WVU score enough to push this game over? Thoughts and prayers welcome.

PackYourNut 47 Posted January 2, 2008 OU should win this game easily. I played it last week at 6.5 Teams that have lost their coaches are 0-7 (excluding Michigan, as Carr coached the game)
kcBlitzkrieg 29 Posted January 2, 2008 '07 Bowl Season (Posted/Unposted) 6-2 / 11-6 Oklahoma -7 Looking for WVA to follow suit with the rest of the teams whose coaching staffs left prior to their bowl game...Stoops will have the Sooners ready to play and their run defense should limit the Mountaineers explosive attack. Sooner linebackers match up very well with the WVA offense, reminds me of how White & Co. looked against the S.FL linebackers that Thursday night when they got beat down...OU should out play and will out coach the Mountaineers to cover this one. Yer mom 2 Posted January 2, 2008 Sup fellas, Lots of love in the past few pages of this thread I hope some of you dont leave because of it, this has always been a winning board with excellent cappers and useful information and as long as most of us stick around it will continue to be. (Hang in there PB) Unless ive missed something, only 4 teams have covered this bowl season where the public was 80% or higher on those teams and they were USC, App St, TCU and Auburn. Its lopsided again in this game with the public currently hammering Oklahoma to the tune of 90+ percent. Yikes. Theres no reason Oklahoma shouldnt win this game comfortably, the ONLY way WV sticks around is if: A. The game is fixed B. Oklahoma hurts themselves with turnovers and penalties C. Oklahomas defensive line size actually works as a disadvantage against WV's offensive team speed, which I dont think will happen. D. If Oklahoma decides to run a ton and keep WV's offense off the field keeping the game closer than it should be Oklahoma has beaten Mizzou twice this season and Mizzou in my opinion could beat WV by at least a touchdown. Oklahomas O-line should absolutely manhandle the WV front and move the ball at will. Pat White and Steve Slaton havent shown me anything this year when it was really called for, they just seemed to roll in games that they should have when facing non agressive, undersized, slow defensive team speed IMHO. This will be without question the toughest team they have faced. Oklahoma -8 Good luck guys

art schlichter's bookie 0 Posted January 3, 2008 I agree completely with Yer Mom's logic that says WVU has no chance in this game. But my gut is telling me that 7 is too many to give Slaton & Co. My bookie told me everyone and their dad is lining up to bet Oklahoma and he has moved the spread to 9. I'm going to buck the public tonight and take WVU +9 for one unit. Also took OVER 62.5 for one unit because if WVU covers this should hit. Looking at a multi-unit play on VT tomorrow anyway. gl to all

I mean, Oregon.....WTF was that! Also, im not overly concerned about the OU injuries but now that Malcolm Kelly appears to be out for sure really does sting a bit. We'll see. Good luck!! greyhounds 0 Posted January 3, 2008 I see most are on OK Tonight, sorry to say that I am not. Hurricane Ditka 0 Posted January 3, 2008 Nothing is going to surprise me tonight. Therefore: West Virginia +9 (4 units) Oklahoma 1st Quarter -.5 (4 units) Steve Slaton over 80.5 yards (4 units) Darrell Joah over 2 receptions (4 units) Under 62 (2 units) Allen Patrick over 95 yards rushing (2 units)
greyhounds 0 Posted January 3, 2008 Hey greyhound long time listener first time caller so i'm not in clone status yet. Your picks in the last 2 months have been as good as anyone on the board, i apprecaite the winners and have added to my money pot with your help. PB/HD/YM/GR have been posting for many seasons on this board with greta sucess, yes PB is having a bad run but he gives the less informed info that i quite frank;ly do not hvae the time to research. ok as i said its been rough but as a backer one should support others not scoff at their misery. As for telling us your dollar bets a UNIT bet is more infomative and leaves you less likely to abues from the board. right now you hvae a good thing going, keep it up but ease up on the saecasm, it doesn't suit you! All for now Haysie This is Philly Bear sending this under a Alias ( even typing words incorrect..haha )....I would know that long time listener/first time caller line from what people say when they call into WIP-610 Sports Radio in Philadelphia. Philly Bear...This was way to comical and you have stooped to a new low. I hope you jumped on my West Virginia Play Tonight....It will be another Winner. How did you come up with a Name Haysie??? haahahhhaahh Too FUNNY!!
duece2626 0 Posted January 3, 2008 I would know that long time listener/first time caller line from what people say when they call into WIP-610 Sports Radio in Philadelphia. You can't honestly believe that is the only radio station in America that uses that phrase, can you? I live in Ohio and I hear that phrase about 5 times a day listening to WKNR 850 in Cleveland. You obviously don't listen to Jim Rome either because that is used frequently there as well.

Yer mom 2 Posted January 3, 2008 Its Oregon/South Florida all over again! Another lemonesque showing from Bobby "the bowl game lemon" Stoops himself. Public plays a side hard go the other way, like clockwork. I couldnt imagine the Sooners would look poor again after the Boise State hosing last year, Malcolm Kelly is being missed. A pre-emptive shot out to the WV bettors, well done Good luck!!

Boise State handing it to them last year. Now this game. A couple more years of this and I'll be labeling Stoops the most over-rated coach in the country. A couple more years of this and I'll be labeling Stoops the most over-rated coach in the country. I agree. It just hit me that Oklahoma lost to Boise last year 42-41 (pretty sure that was the final) and the score now is 41-21, down 3 TDs from the same final. Wouldnt it be something if they came back and this year was on the winning side of the same score? Extremely doubtful, but ive seen crazier stuff. Ill stay tuned

greyhounds 0 Posted January 3, 2008 Good Morning Gents! Looking over my last 14 Plays that I have given and have documented here on FFToday and if you have been following: 13 Winners and 1 Loss........13-1 with the Only Loss on Boston College! Nobody has even come close...NOBODY!! That being said, I have decided to stop posting on here for the rest of the Bowl Games and also for the NFL Playoffs as other than a scarce few, I have not gotten anything Positive said...Like WOW...13-1..Who do you like Tonight ?? The Comical Part is that I have my Biggest Play of the Year on Tonights Game and Also a NFL Winner this weekend that Nobody here will Ever Know as it has gone unappreciated. So enjoy each other and think of how much you would have been ahead with this 13-1 Record and How Much You would Love to know who I am on Tonight!! Funny...Everyone pleads for Philly Bear to come back and sucks his C0ck and he was 3-11 in his last 14 Picks and some were Large 6 Unit Plays and I am not wanted with a 13-1 Record...This Group doesn't want to make $$$$, they want to play $10.00 Parlay Cards with their allowance from their wives. I leave here UP a Documented $ 8100.00 in the last 15 Days....Your Pockets could have been Filled in the Future as I have a system that will stay Over 75 % Winners.......and I just started using it in College and Pro Basketball and it seems to be working there ( I didn't want to post any games yet before I was sure it would work ).....It Works $$$$$ as I had Memphis, NO and the Chicago Bulls last Night...ALL WINNERS. See You later Boys.....I'll post on another site to people who enjoy WINNING!
