Gepetto 1,370 Posted January 6, 2008 F U C K Y E A ! Garrard's run (32 yard gain on 4th and 2) just might lock this up for the Jags. To the 10 yard line. 1:34 left How's that for describing the situation!!!!!!
Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted January 6, 2008 smart too. he was guarding the ball the whole time.

Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted January 6, 2008 need to show Dallas from last year. does Pitt have any slippery balls to give jax?
Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted January 6, 2008 MJD so much more valuable than Fred Taylor.
p.man 7 Posted January 6, 2008 Those 2 extra pts will haunt the Steelers all off season.
Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted January 6, 2008 delay of game. Scobee will miss the kick by 3 yards imo.
cowboyz 2 Posted January 6, 2008 need to show Dallas from last year. does Pitt have any slippery balls to give jax? it would be funny if the delay of game cost them it's good
Gepetto 1,370 Posted January 6, 2008 Maurice Jones-Drew made this possible. They didn't play him enough in my opinion though. I don't understand why the Jaguars were trying to throw with a big lead; and they were trying to get open deep, Garrard would just get sacked. Jags have the lead by 2 now. 37 seconds left. gocolts 300 Posted January 6, 2008 Steelers got a shot still with 30 seconds left.
IndyTom 0 Posted January 6, 2008 What kind of range does the Pitt kicker have?
Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted January 6, 2008 barring a miracle, this is a crushing loss for Pitt. After that comeback they're still going to come up short.

Gepetto 1,370 Posted January 6, 2008 JAGS WIN!!! And Hines Ward got me 13 fantasy points (too bad it isn't ppr) - great thing is our FF Playoffs, you get to pick new players every week so doesn't matter that H. Ward and the Steelers lost. Should have taken MJD over Portis though. Oh well.
p.man 7 Posted January 6, 2008 LMAO at making ben wait around while garrard gets interviewed Why? Ben's team didn't win. Ben has all the time in the world to wait around.
murf74 461 Posted January 6, 2008 Murf - looks like you called it. It happens all the time in years past. It happed this year vs. Denver and the Jets. It happened vs. Browns but they missed their FG. I could go on, but ask any Steeler fan, this is a script played out all the time.
49ers_suck 0 Posted January 6, 2008 MJD so much more valuable than Fred Taylor. how so? Taylor has been money this season. he has great vision and runs hard. they are a helllluva one two punch. that was a great game, was it not? if pitt would have won, that face mask by ward would be a big deal. Runs just as hard as Fred if not harder. A better receiver than Fred. A fantastic blocker in the passing game. One of the better kickoff return guys in the NFL. He was much more of a key to this game than Fred, that is for sure.
BuschWack 59 Posted January 6, 2008 The Steelers offensive play caller lost this game for the Steelers! The offense could not be stopped in the 4th quarter.....Ward was owning the Jags secondary and what did they do with their second to last possession? ....they ran it into the line 3 times ...with Big Ben rolling out to the left and basically laying down with 2 and a half minutes left. Making their defense win the game. All they had to do was continue throwing and letting Ward, Miller and the rest of those guys that played so well, do their thing. The Jags would have had no time. I'd be pissed at my coaches if I were Ward. When your offensive is playing so well, you gotta keep it up and show some focking confidence. The Steelers offensive coaches played not to lose toward the end and got burned. Serves em right...but too bad for Ben and the rest of his receivers.

Steelers played their tails off to come back from 18 in the 2nd half...then the coaches put the handcuffs on them with the game in their control......run, run, run, punt. There was too much time for that, especially when they had timeouts left. Even if they got one first down it was not enough. Live and die with what got you there (passing game). Horrible, you won't see NE or Indy do that. I don't get it, they did this stuff with Cowher all the time, I figured Tomlin would be different. I guarantee Ben will open his trap like he does at the end of every year and say something about that.......put it in his hands....they didn't stop him the entire 2nd half why turtle up? Gepetto 1,370 Posted January 6, 2008 took ward and portis as well. such is life, i guess. in my league you can pick a guy once, with a new lineup each week. kind of a different strategy. is that how your league works? Each of us (only 8) can pick ANY players to fill a typical 10 player fantasy roster, every week. So, everyone took LT for example for this Wild Card weekend. Most total points throughout the playoffs and Super Bowl wins. I like it this way. So I've got LT, Galloway, Gates, and Chargers Defense left to go. I had Josh Brown too who did pretty good. I took Hasselbeck who got 13 points. I really debated between Hass and Rothlisberger and made the wrong pick obviously since Ben got 18 points. MJD was on my team all year and was a big disappoint so I decided to go with Portis (close call between him and Brandon Jacobs) since he gets a vast majority of the carries. I could have played in a league where you just draft at the start of the playoffs and any players you have that are eliminated from the playoffs can't get you any points anymore. Didn't like that concept though.

BMoney 0 Posted January 6, 2008 LMAO at making ben wait around while garrard gets interviewed i hate the steelers and ben but that was pretty classy...he didnt have to stand there and wait...thats big of ben to do that.... i was laughing at the irony that the steelers may have needed a game winning FG on the worst turf in the league..a turf that the head coach laughed at and said relax, its football... yeah...id love to have seen a 45 yard try..... i agree with murf..the high fade pass is terrible...dont tell me that its the best play u have in your 30 page playbook for that moment... is there any team who can defend the 2 yard slant? ok..twice in a row? no....why dont teams run THAT more often?...makes little sense... wash had seattle on their heels..just throwing it quick to moss(the kinda thing the bears should always do with hester).... but then the redskins try to get cute and it backfires...seattle? the same way...alexander ran well...weaver was looking for someone to bowl over..and then they avoid the run..and they go to sidearm passes and other head scratching plays..teams need to stick with the high % plays... i will admit..i take great joy in seeing the steelers lose a 2 pt conversion to the holding call..they deserve to have bad calls against them...for at least a decade or so...
