listen2me 23 1,831 Posted January 17, 2008 Pimpy sounds so dumb. In another thread he predicts the Packers to stomp the Giants by about 20. But then a few posts before this he says the Cowboys WOULD beat the Packers. Sounds I know a lot of people don't like Pimp but he is great for a laugh. Dallas is the better team, they just got screwed by the refs. They even admitted that the intentional grounding call was not right. They refs screwed Dallas. Giants Fan 85 Posted January 17, 2008 Yep. That 1 play screwed 'em. So much for homefield advantage! Come on! How can you cry about the calls in that game. Oh yeah ... because you are a Dallas fan. STFU, idiot.

Sho Nuff 720 Posted January 17, 2008 Dallas would have beaten Green Bay. Yet, they could not even beat the Giants who you say suck so bad. Dallas was done after that last GB win. GB would have rolled Dallas the way both teams are currently playing. Too bad the only way you can see Dallas beat GB is if you play them on Madden.
Sho Nuff 720 Posted January 17, 2008 Dallas is the better team, they just got screwed by the refs. They even admitted that the intentional grounding call was not right. They refs screwed Dallas. They got screwed by completely sucking and not being able to score points worth a damn.
xenophobe 1 Posted January 17, 2008 Dallas is the better team, they just got screwed by the refs. This is a typical response. The refs weren't the reason Dallas had such poor coverage on kick returns. The refs weren't the reason Dallas couldn't block for Romo in the 2nd half. Or stopped being able to run the ball. Or the reason their receivers dropped a number of catachable passes.
xenophobe 1 Posted January 17, 2008 But as for NY and GB, I'm expecting a very good game. There's too many reasons not to like the Packers this week, so you have to pick them as the favorites, but I'm expecting a very good game.
GBFAVRE4 0 Posted January 17, 2008 This is the GB V NYG Thread....not the 'Dallas would have' Thread.... Take it elsewhere, no one cares about the has-beens and the yesterdays Now..... Green Bay will be a high of 4 degrees Sunday---during the day. LETS DO THIS

PIAZZA11 0 Posted January 17, 2008 As mentioned, a lot of things have changed since that Week 2 game. Cons against the Giants in that game: 1) Eli didn't practice much with shoulder injury 2) Osi was limited after knee injury 3) Jacobs did not play 4) Bradshaw didn't see the field on offense 5) Steve Smith broke his scapula early in the game 6) The defense was clearly still struggling with a new system Cons against the Packers in that game 1) Ryan Grant was not around 2) Jennings did not play 3) No effective ground game 4) Favre had to throw all the time because of no ground game If you look closely, it's almost like 2 totally different teams. On paper, the Packers are still healthier and more talented, in particular on the offensive side of the ball. The Packers win IF: they establish Grant, which gives Favre a major advantage against the Giants pass rush. If Favre becomes one diminsional, the Giants pass rush can get to him. On defense, the Packers must stop the 2-headed Jacobs/Bradshaw attack. Even though Manning has been mistake free, Green Bay's best bet is to put the game on him. If he beats the Packers that way, then credit to Eli. The Giants win IF: they pressure Farve and slow down Grant. It's pretty simple. If Farve gets time, he will take advantage on the Giants secondary, unlike Romo did. On offense, they need a good mix of about 30 runs and 18-25 passes. It's been about the formula in the first 2 wins, and it needs to continue. Also, one thing the Giants have done in the last 3 games is score touchdowns. They can't settle for FG's against Green Bay. phillybear 366 Posted January 21, 2008 Um....you are the one being ignorant. The seahags lost on the road to the Panthers, Cardinals and Falcons, and should have lost to the Rams too (those are real juggernaut teams BTW)....so yes, seattle sucks and they would have lost to any NFC team on the road in the playoffs. Next time, bring facts, not your delusional homerism. HTH Wow. I don't mind a bit of criticism of Seattle, but... The Arizona loss was due to a fumble with about 2 minutes left in the game. Seattle gave up the lead. That's fine. Arizona was a pretty good team at home this year with a few memorable wins vs good team. The loss to Carolina came the game after Seattle clinched their division and had nothing to play for. The game was 0-0 going into the 4th quarter. Seattle traveled to the East for the 3rd time in 4 weeks. Can you say LETDOWN? The loss to Atlanta came in a meaningless game at the end of the year, a game Seattle led until the backups came in and Seneca Wallace gave the game away. Next time, bring facts, not your delusional fantasies.

Me_2006 14 Posted January 21, 2008 Looks like we have the Bad Eli today. It's below 0 and he's facing the best pair of corners in the league without his go-to TE.
