HTH 95 Posted April 7, 2008 There is a state preserve near where I live (Connectquat) and I've been toying with the idea of checking it out. Teddy Roosevelt fished there. It's pretty pristine. Fish hatchery...the whole nine. Any advice/suggestions for a newbie?

BiPolarBear 495 Posted April 7, 2008 Fly fishing for bass and bluegills is easy. Fly fishing for trout requires a much better presentation as well as more finely tuned equipment. "Matching the hatch" and 2X tipits are the types of issues you have with trout.

remote controller 143 Posted April 7, 2008 Dive In! I think fly fishing is the ultimate type of fishing. I have never tried it yet, but I want to learn. It is like you hunt fish, instead of fishing for fish.
