ScottyArms 0 Posted November 16, 2008 If Portis wasn't out/injured I wouldn't have played Grant this week so thank you Portis...completely blown away by his first half

Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted November 16, 2008 You seem like a decent guy, Filthy.....but.... I told you so!!! Hey man, I'm here to take it. Worse, Graham getting injured. Now I'll have to ride Lenwhale's fat azz.
flynsqrls 1 Posted November 16, 2008 Won't hassle you... as i've made my share of mistakes thru' out the season (s) ...but for your info, not only did I keep Grant on my team, I've started him! And today, it looks like i'm reaping the rewards!!! (hopefully with more to come!)
Skinny_Bastard 157 Posted November 16, 2008 You not only weaken your team but you strengthen your opponent (who picked him up). An absolute double blade sword type of move to your team. wk5 18-83yds <---first sign of life wk6 33-90yds wk7 31-105yds 1td wk9 20-86yds wk10 16-75yds 1td wk11 105yds 1td (after 1 half)

The guy who did pick him up doesn't play me again this year. AND he's missing the playoff. It's (lucky for me) a wash.

Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted November 16, 2008 Then you lucked out filthy. Rather be lucky than good, right?! Couple trades/draft picks I wanted didn't pan out but they ended up injured.
Torque666 0 Posted November 18, 2008 Like i said , you just didnt make the move in context. You were saying grant suckedbased off his slow start, when alot of other things may of factored into his slow start. Shuffling Oline, contract hold out missing PS, injury and a coacing commitment to running wich was nonexistant. Alos you broke the cardinal rule about not getting overexcited about unproven commodities gaining starting roles mid-season. ..... I TOLD YOU SO
Me_2006 14 Posted November 18, 2008 Dumb move, but you manned up to it. I've cut LJ and McGahee both this year in different leagues. I can see what you were thinking.

zaurg 0 Posted November 18, 2008 This is why I like bigger rosters in FF. Having to drop a guy like Grant makes me think you guys use 14 player rosters, so in that case, no big deal regarding the drop. Sometimes you gotta drop your underperforming 4th string rb early in the year due to injury/byes. Now if you have bigger rosters and you dropped Grant instead of a backup kicker or something like that, LOL.
mrgymrat 0 Posted November 18, 2008 Way to man up though as Grant has been a dawg thru most of the season. At least you didn't drop Portis flatout so you could pickup Dustin Keller as a backup receiver (not sure if you saw that post on here the other day)
Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted November 18, 2008 Salt in the wound is losing Graham for the year now. Agonizing choices ahead at RB: Westy: Philadelphia underutilizing him. Heard McNabb threw like 50+ times and only three to Westy. INFOCKINGSANE! Hightower: Being supplanted by Arrington but nothing official yet. Can't drop him to pick up Arrington and the Cards pass first. MeMo: Parker is active and looks to WANT to keep his job. Lendale: Titans not getting it done on the ground. Ended up picking up Pierre Thomas today. Hopefully Bush remains out and Duece gets a vacation via Goddell.

Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted November 18, 2008 With a roster of 14 players only, shouldn't there be A LOT more choices out there? Yeah, guys that may get like 8 points if that. Guys are trimming back on how many QBs/WRs they're holding and scooping up RBs of ANY value. Graham done + Westy not getting the rock = DISASTER for my team. Only so much Warner and Boldin can do for me. Oh, and Schaub out for an additional 4 weeks. AJ is now becoming benchable.
