Cowboys Cut T.O.

Terrell Owens' stay in Dallas is over. The Cowboys cut the wide receiver Wednesday night, reports ESPN.com's Michael Smith. T.O. spent three seasons in Big D.

Nice job reporting quickly. I was coming to do the same thing.

Maybe the Cowboys go WR early in the draft now? Who picks up TO?

Woh.

No one picks him up and he is never heard from again.

Doesn't he have a show this summer?

Its a good question

Does Daniel Synder open up his pocketbook again and allow TO to play for his 3rd NFC East team??

Cant think of anyone else he would fit....

He certainly doesnt fit what the Giants are doing here in NY.

How will this effect Roy Willams?

Or do they have a plan to get Boldin?

More importantly does this open the door for Jerry Jones to make a deal for Braylon or Boldin?

Boldin seems to be the top choice, but it almost seems like he's staying in Arizona at this point.

Housh just signed with Seattle, so he's off the table. Even Coles signed with Cincy today. So it seems like the top candidates for replacing him are gone, and two of the teams with the biggest need at WR just solidified the position. It may be as difficult for TO to find a new team as it is for the Cowboys to find a new TO.

might have to wait awhile till an injury hits a team - or teams might wait to see how much a mess his TV show is

Doubtful. TO yelling at Childress is what started him on his way out of Philly.

and doing what he did on the star will keep him out of Dallas?

Yeah, but Dallas is a circus that loves to take chances on supremely talented nutjobs. Minnesotta wears purple jerseys.

By stepping on the star in dallas, he didnt embarrass anyone but himself.

By calling out Childress , he embarrassed the Head Coach of the organization in which you are talking about.

Big Difference

Seriously folks...I'm on the clock in our draft...was about ready to pick someone when voila...T.O is cut.

So is it a no brainer to take Roy Williams?

I just moved Miles Austin up into the top 10 on mah draft bored.

:overhead:

Ditto. Traded for Roy Williams last off-season, and picked up Austin mid-season. Been waiting for this day to come.

What pick?

see "2009 early bird draft"

I'll bring it back to the front page (and update it) in about 2 min. We are in round 5 in a 12-person, 1-keeper redraft.

I wasn't able to analyze the remaining players as thoroughly as I'd like, but at first glance it doesn't appear like there's a better value out there.

I thought about this but the "personality" of the team just doesn't fit. I'd love for us to get him though. Manning >>>>>Romo/McNabb.

Only question would be his ability to handle being option 2 behind Reggie. Although TO is usually pretty quiet when teams are winning.

I thought the Colts were pretty tight against the cap. Maybe they could bring in Dan Snyder as a consultant.

You mean TO causes too much trouble with his mouth and not enough off the field physical and gun violnce?

The only "big name" receivers left that I can think of are Antonio Bryant, Santana Moss, Steve Breaston, K. Walter (scored well in PPR league), MN receivers, Lance Moore, Giants receivers, Hines Ward, Braylon Edwards....and of course Roy Williams.

Don't worry Cowboys fans, Michael Irvin has a new reality show and he's going to find us a wide receiver. Maybe Marvin Harrison and even T.O. will try out. Personally, I hope Snoop Dog gives football a try.

I'd take Williams and thank the guy in front of you for his timing.

will TO get another chance before Barry Bonds?

Id take him on seattle for 1 season....a prove you still have it, season...

when hes gone somewhere..hes been fine that first year...but before long..hes a cancer...

3 years? thats it? ESPN has shoved every TO move down our throats for so long..it feels like 8 years....

TO is only fitting on the giants if he is willing to shoot himself...

he honestly needs to go to a team like the ravens..he WONT speak up with ray lewis on the sideline...
