Steve Croft "60 Minutes" interview of Obama

Recommended Posts

Didn't 60 minutes make it's reputation on tough inteviews..............holding politicians feet to the fire?

This interview makes me wonder if Croft is gonna give Obama a "happy ending" after the massage I just watched.

What a focking joke.

I was sorta disappointed in it too. The guy was just like "oh how neat! you guys have a dining room!"

I didn't even expect him to grill him or anything, but at least try to ask him stuff that's interesting or that we all want to know.

You only need to ask the tough grilling questions to people that are doing something wrong. Like GWB for example.

I thought it was great. Very insightful. I had never seen his daughters swing set before or even considered the fact that a POTUS could get lost in the White House (multiple times at that). Daham, his job is hard. "35 focking bathrooms in this barn and I can never find one when I need one. Luckily there are lots of potted plants." (waves TP)

No Shiat.

It's not like there isn't anything happening in the world worth asking about. Seems like some weighty issues could be explored when you have an exclusive with the most powerful man on earth.......yet we get "Who bought that swing set for your kids".

Mebbe someday the media will ask this guy a tough question. :pointstosky:

Obama might be a great speaker when he prepares and has a teleprompter -- but man -- without one an having to speak fromda hip -- Obama litterally looks like he he beneath W in intelligence -- that's saying something

Him and his brother pretty much peaked with H.R. Pufnstuf and that was over in the early 1970's.

Actually, him and his other brother, Seals, had some nice tunes in the mid to late seventies, as well.

well-spoken

Ah, the old "he's so well spoken" euphamism. Classic.

I wonder if blacks cringe when they hear white folks say that.?.

Impressive:

But at a time when the world financial markets are reading utterances by the President and Secretary of the Treasury Geithner the way a fortune teller would read the entrails of a goat, Obama seems to think it is pretty funny that he has a job and a lot of people have lost theirs and that our financial system could be turned into a steaming heap of ordure by any unwise action.

Incredible. At least Nero had musical ability.
